Yes, I know that. Maybe I had suppressed it? It's back at the top now because I've been giving out a lot of downvotes recently. And there are so many abusers, so many!
One even used the abuse in the Uganda fundraiser. Bitter: over 30 honest users have achieved quite a lot (we will collect 500 STEEM and more!!!) but this one user gives me a deep feeling of sadness and disappointment where I should be really, really happy. How can that be?
The guy was on an sc team. The gorilla investigated and he got kicked. A few bruises from the dv from gorilla and myself, a few days time and he will move on. With whatever account (we have proven two accounts and are too tired to look for more, although they are guaranteed to exist).
Maybe the A Team should start again? Just the ‘Fabulous Four’ of us. We promise higher votes (higher than this blob shit that has been established), but only 10 a day. Contest and learning participants will definitely get nothing. The rest must be used for dv if abuse is proven. Be sure, @the-gorilla gets them all!

I didn't know what you were talking about and ended up reading multiple threads regarding the recent scam. I had heard about the corruption of josepha but I thought simonnwigwe was a decent user. 🥲
I have noticed, Steemit team is all forgiving for some time now which can be one of the reasons for increasing abuse. Leave the downvotes, I often get surprised to see proven scammers getting support (e.g shabbir86). Getting easy on the rules is one thing which is well-received by the community but supporting scammers is incomprehensible to me. They possibly mean well and want a positive atmosphere. It's even hard to keep track of the foul players too. There could be a thousand reasons but nothing justifies supporting them.
I enjoyed giving 15 (on average) bigger votes in my recent curatorial ventures. It's either nothing or a substantial coconut, just not a peanut. It feels more satisfying that way than supporting dozens of below average blogs.
I got bored of curation, but A Team, without question, anytime. It will bring some excitement to my steem activities. We should have a comeback and (I agree) with the aim to fight abuse as well.

It's inevitable. Some of them have pretty much mastered it now anyway. I simply don't have the time or energy to spend days investigating them any more... especially if they are able to return to their duties at some point in the future. That simonnwigwe one took me days. shabbir86 took me an entire day too.
steemcleaners would've put them on a list where they would have received downvotes until the end of time.

It could be automated but it would need coding. remlaps auto-downvotes everything that I downvote and justyy has a downvote trail tat people follow.
We say in reply to o1eh's post that some people are just scared to downvote as they fear retribution. It's easy for me not to be afraid as I don't post much so I guess others have more to lose.

A trail is not a substitute but it is something. More users could follow your trail. However, Oleh is right too, downvotes can quickly turn into an ugly war which could end up being unfair to innocent people who put real effort to get few rewards but wish to see an abuse-free environment. We need something more unanimous or universal like steemcleaners as you said.
I wonder what happened to Abuse Watcher? I still see it sometimes but from the beginning I couldn't believe fully in its authenticity. I'm not sure why.

It crossed my mind to apply again - for the pure and simple reason that if we're in charge of one of the accounts, then somebody else isn't. And I trust me.
Look at the final paragraph of my recent comment... it's always interesting to predict something before it happens. Trouble is, I know who this leads back to and I've caught her abusing her privileges before. I'm not sure anything changed though. Much like the reality that historic scammer simonnwigwe is back in a curation team again. Are him and his housemate josepha still running multiple accounts? Of course they are. Have they learnt from their mistakes? Of course they have. And I don't have time to prove otherwise. Sad, it's so so sad and if we were curators, they wouldn't get another dollar from whichever account we're in charge of.

I don't doubt their (team) good intentions. But I just can't wrap my head around certain things... It's not only this particular event/incident. There are so many other things that have started to feel really unfair, unjust or simply ridiculous!

I got a bit addicted yesterday - it's rolled over into today. I was supposed to be doing DIY but the little one has scuppered those plans!
It did make me wonder... were the other "first chance" applicants so bad / suspicious that the "second chance" was the best option?
Over the years, I've caught sooooo many people that I sometimes see a username that I recognise and wonder what they did!

That was definitely a factor. How else can you explain the fact that I never heard from anyone again after the team disbanded? Never again! Although at least one of them is still very active. I must have made an extremely terrible impression. Or we did... 😎

I've been thinking about adding a "Notes" section for each user. So if you want a reminder about something to do with a user, you can click it and say "oh yeah". At the moment, I'd only be able to store this on a user's machine (which would be annoying when they all get deleted) but maybe one day this could be added.
Is it bad that I can't even remember who some of our other team members were?
