TREE GODDESS OF LIFE.
Tika’s world was exquisitely beautiful, high walls that protected them from the hush rays of light, creatures with 7-8 eyes that talked to them and told stories of their forefathers, there was plenty to eat and merry making. The land was dazzling with a fire golden floor in that when you stepped on it a small touch of blue would appear. One day at dawn, an old cracked-up skinned man shouted to the lots, “Prepare yourself, day of doom is now!” He went on to say, “There is a tree of life that will restore our land. This tree draws it energy from its fertile land on which it lies and she is protected by a hard, unbreakable rock.” He bellowed, “It’s not just a tree but a goddess that produces life.” This old man was always rejected and given a cold shoulder. For some reason Tika believed him but did not give he much attention. He would soon know what was to happen.
At the strike of midnight, winds blew, sound of cracking tree branches were heard, creatures calling for help, especially sea fauna. The sea was being drained to an unknown place. The helter-skelter begun. Children, parents crying out for help as fireballs shot out of the sky. These balls hit to kill. Tika thought about what he’d do to survive. He shielded himself, quickly run towards the sea. Just as he was about to reach he bumped into the old man injured in that he couldn’t walk. He stretched out to Tika and weakly said “take this, for it will help you were you are going …. You will...” Before he finished, he looked unto the firing sky and laid lifeless.
Tika shook and agented him but it was useless. He quickly went to the sea and were he landed into the new world so he thought, with no clothes but just what the old man handed unto him. He swum towards the top waters where he saw a glowing rock. Instantly, he swum tirelessly to it. Tika, tried to caught his breathe before he commenced towards the rock. Step by step he walked as a gentle breeze embraced over him.
As he approached, he reminisced about his world hopping his people were well.He got to a staircase that reflected light. As he moved down, the warmer it got. On his left, there he saw a tree that gave a blue webbed leaves and he knew that this was what the old man spoke about. “come, I’ve been waiting for you since you were born.” A graceful voice continued, as it shone it light. “I am the goddess of life.” She narrated what had happened his planet. Tika unwrapped what he had in his hands and it a flame that he presented to the tree. “ don’t be afraid, Tika,” “below is a new world that will help me restart your life. The goddess said which uplifted his spirit for hope.
