How the indegenous women and men are contributing to the transformission of the African traditional economy
I took some time to check the evolution of the traditional market in a village in Cameroon's North West Region called Awing, taped from Awing and branded in Dschang the West Region of Cameroon.
In a local market I tried to look at how the local economy is reacting the the the local economy.
I noticed some three unusual items in the local market.
Firstly the best innovation made by men was the local wine made out of Palm Wine and which is now frabricated and coked into bottles like the modern beer brands sold by Guiness and brassesries firms in Cameroon.
This is the most amazing thing I realized and I looked at the the importance of this innovation as it is the first time ever that palm wine if coked in Cameroon.
I had an interview with some local consumers and I was told there is a sweet one that is soft and another hard one that has firmented.
I saw this as an innovation that can transform the local African Economy.
The second amazing inovation made by women was the local hand niche traditional fabric. I was so interested in it because it is creating alot of employment for the local indigenous women and also it rising demand is building the local gross domestic product.
Below here you are seeing a traditional cap,and a traditional bracelet made out of recycled plastic waste.
Then there are some cloths ranging from gowns to all forms of clothing for both men and women.
I was thrilled and could not go away without wearing some on me.
I tried to look at the tool used to make this fabric.
I saw just a little niddle that is being used to provide clothing to the traditional demand.
These are the positive ways women and men are using their talents to contribute to the local economy.
This is an amazing opportunity creating employment to the most vulnerable communities in Cameroon.
The sustainble development goals Holds some degree of promise if Africa continues this was.
For over 50 years since Indendent African local economy has relied only on mining, fishing, forestory and other primary sector processes.
This is the time for these small innovations to be scaled to it maximum to facilitate the realization of SDGs by 2030 (Sustainable Development Goals)
