The Grandeur of Duomo Di Milano | The Heart of Milan

Greetings the fellow people of WOX Community!

Long time no see i guess in terms of me creating a post in this group heh?

I have so many memories and photos to share with you it’s just sometimes I don’t have time to create one, because it takes a lot of time. Gladly this time i had time to do some short post here and it may be, but the photos are good i promise you that.

Gothic Heights

So the theme today is about the heart of Milan and let’s not forget one of the most gothic cathedrals in the world - Duomo di Milano.

So, yeah the Milan’s Cathedral is one of the largest and most iconic Gothic cathedrals in the world, which is also the city’s most iconic landmark and symbol of architectural and cultural history.

As much as i have talked about it with my posts here i have to do it again for the people interested. The construction of this amazing architectural heritage began in 14th century and it wasn’t finished till the 60’s which is crazy when you think about it.

As i said this is the heart of Milan, but as much as it is expect it to be very crowded like maybe one of the most crowded places in Milan. I tell you that, because as a cultural icon it hosts a lot of concerts and events.

Well it has a lot of history of construction and renovation and it’s right in the downtown so it makes sense to organise such events there.

I do this post, cuz i have a lot of photos of this marvel and i also have it under different angles and especially at night so you can see some difference. I also played a little bit with instagram layout and i you will see why a little later so let’s continue.

This is going to be the lasts stop of let’s say and introduction with photos part and the next part we’re gonna play a little bit of a photographer.

So unfortunately I don’t have photos of inside the cathedral which is kinda strange, cuz I’ve searched, but didn’t find anything. I guess the only possible explanation is i have used the photos here and deleted them later in my library, cuz i remember i had some somewhere. Anyway there’s two choices when you’re inside the cathedral you either climb or take an elevator to the rooftop.

The rooftop is amazing if there were such word like this back in the days. Anyway the rooftop offers amazing views and it kinda makes you appreciate the centre from hight grounds and it also makes you appreciate the architecture of the church a little bit more everything is carved to the last detail.

The Pinnacle of Gothic Art

So this is the part where i play a photographer and creator and I’m gonna show you two photos of the cathedral one is shot during the day and the other is shot during the night. You could ask what’s so special of seeing it again during the day like the other photos.

Well, both photos are shot in such a long timeframe, in fact a couple of the photos are taken not only during different weather conditions, but are shot with a huge interval of time frame and i talk about a 3 month difference.

The reason i tell you all this is that i checked the dates of both these photos and the time frame is 6 months and the interesting part of this is that they’re kinda identical.

So yeah i apparently managed to fly to Milan take a shot and then half a year later go there again and take another almost identical shot, but during the night. Remember the layout i told you about, i’m gonna leave this here and finish my post with it, see you around.
