In search of meaning.

A couple of hours ago I started working on my post for participation in The World of XPILAR - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #215 - 14STEEM in prizes! - Submissions post and in principle there were quite a lot of ideas as well as photographs in my photo archive.

But something prompted me to look not for a photograph to participate in the competition but for a semantic load.

As Ecclesiastes said everything is vanity and only God's mercy to us matters.

Therefore I decided to look for the basis of the basics but not finding it in the photographs in the form in which I would like to see it I decided to present it to you by going along a snowy and slippery forest road.

Have you ever driven on forest roads immediately after a snowfall?

Well if you are skiing it can be considered a walk but when you have more than a hundred horsepower under the hood of your car it can be a risky venture.

At such moments and on any road, motorists as a rule rely on good rubber with which they put on their wheels on the ABS braking system on the presence of a low gear transmission if there is one and on their driving skills.

But all this trust of ours is just vanity because only God is subject to every situation on our path and only He can become our reliable support.

Based on this meaning I created this monochrome photo work.

A reminder of That the most important and reliable that which you need to hold on to and not let go before the start of any path and on the road perhaps this is how you can designate the presence of a small chapel on the edge of the beginning of a forest road.

So the basis of the work was this photograph taken in winter on the edge of the territory of children's recreation camps limited by a gray faceless fence in which there is no sense.

As a picture maybe the photograph is not the worst but it is just a picture a delight for the eyes but not for the soul.

I needed a source that would tell the viewer the meaning that I was looking for and this chapel in another photograph could help me with this.

In the photo editor I decided to combine these two photographs.

All that remains is to make the photograph monochrome and work on the clarity and tones of the gray shades.
