Spring is coming soon - New Competition "WATER DROPS" You can win steem

There was a time when people didn't need a calendar either paper or digital to know that spring was coming.

They just had to look at the edge of the roofs of houses where icicles would appear in winter which would start to melt as spring approached and drops of melt water would fly merrily to the ground.

But you know it's strange I haven't seen an icicle in the last three years.

Winters have become somehow wrong lol.

Exactly three years ago I was lucky enough to take a series of photographs in which you can see several stages of water droplet formation on an icicle.

Yes winters have become cold, but snowless and as a rule, icicles appear on the roofs of houses when the layer of snow covering the roofs begins to melt and after a night of freezing.

Moments like these can only be dreamed of today.

Here is the moment when the icicle seems to be sleeping and is not going to please us with the news of the approach of spring.

But suddenly something began to change and the icicle began to lengthen this is the beginning of the formation of a drop of water.

Children draw a pear-shaped drop of water at first, so it is.

But at the moment when the drop of water breaks away from the icicle it becomes spherical.

And in this photo it seems that the drop of water began to take a pear-shaped form again, but this is just a play of light and the length of the camera shutter speed in fact the drop is almost a perfect ball which screams to us: Spring is coming soon!
