I specifically avoid the word "competition", because the main thing is not a competition, but participation, discussion, exchange of experience, conversation of people who are passionate about photography and try to get a result that is more than just pressing the shutter release button of the camera and the phone.

This is the main task that I set myself. At the same time, simple compliments have no special value. "Wow, how beautiful!"... it doesn't carry any useful information. I would like to hear the continuation of this phrase. What exactly did you like about this photo, which solutions of the author are successful. I consider constructive criticism, expressing opinions on the merits, and paying attention to important or interesting points to be the most valuable in the comments.

Together with the authors' posts, such comments can bring a lot of useful things for everyone.

Пришло время подвести итоги нашего небольшого мероприятия. Я специально избегаю слова "конкурс", потому что главным является не состязание, а участие, обсуждение, обмен опытом, разговор людей, которые увлечены фотографией и стараются получить результат, который больше простого нажатия спусковой кнопки затвора камеры или телефона.

Такова основная задача, которую я ставил перед собой. При этом простые комплименты не имеют особой ценности. "ВАУ, как красиво!"... это не несёт никакой полезной информации. За этой фразой хотелось бы услышать продолжение. Что именно в этой фотографии тебе понравилось, какие решения автора являются удачными. Наиболее ценным в комментариях я считаю конструктивную критику, высказывание мнения по существу, обращение внимания на важные или интересные моменты.

Вместе с постами авторов такие комментарии могут принести много полезного для всех.

This frame has been waiting for her in my archive for a long time. But everything is in the will of the participants and I do not insist on anything. Do whatever you want if the photo is chosen by the organizer as the source material for the seventh stage.

The first group did not limit themselves to basic post-processing and went further in their fantasies - they brought their own elements to the original photo or got rid of something. The second group of authors was more traditional, but each author pursued his own goal in the work.

I listen to myself. At the moment I am somehow quite melancholic and thin-skinned. Irritable and easily annoyed. You already know that I don't do so well in the city, that I can hardly stand the people around me. That I find concrete and roads and traffic and all this infrastructure really brutally unpleasant. These sins of civilisation spoil my pleasure a little when I look at the original photo - I guess they have to go!

The author wants to be alone with the sky and the sea. I think we all miss this in life.

This time I decided to change, in addition to the color, the shape. I gave the image a wavy look, imitating dreams or thoughts.
To achieve this goal, I used Photoscape and increased the brightness.

On the waves of my dreams... That's how you can turn a cool evening into a stream of rosy dreams... the sea and the sky are to blame for everything.

I am captivated by the two street lamps, they remind me of Tesla towers and free energy. The first thing I imagine is a beam of energy between the two lanterns.

The reverse side of light is energy. The author pushed off from Tesla's ideas and then he was carried into the sky. The author lights not only the sleeping lamps, the energy fills the candles... don't forget the sunglasses, please.

My actions are simple: I copied this photo to myself and changed it in a way I know) Increased brightness, color and light.

Yes, these are the simplest actions you can think of, but the author is on the right track. The dark (lower) part of the photo asks to lighten itself. However, the sky does not ask for this and a certain balance is needed here. But it comes with experience and you can get it at our event.

This time I decided to make the process shorter than the last time (it was round #3), because from the very beginning I clearly see the result I want to get, and I don't need a chain of experiments, trial and error.

If you want to design the cover of your book (this is if you wrote it and want to publish it), you often need a stylized photo. Contact our friend. On the greenish background at the bottom could well be the name of your bestseller and your name.
Unlike the previous simplified approach to photo post-processing, here we have rather a professional approach using a professional tool. The main thing is to know what you want to get as a result.

At first, I looked for some element to add, however, in my photographic archive or at least what I was able to review, I could not find something that convinced me fully, so I had to rethink my initial idea and proceed with the elements present in the image.

According to the degree of post-processing, this post can be placed in the middle between the last two.

Finally, the city where I live is known for the beauty of its sunsets, so, besides being called "the musical capital of Venezuela", it is also often called "the twilight city", so somehow, I feel that I am sharing with my readers and the rest of the participants, a little piece of my land, even if only through a photograph.

Before drawing a line under this contest, I want to return to our previous stage. The author of the idea of that stage was dear @ty-ty. Unfortunately, he did not feel well and the announcement of the winner was delayed a little. However, it took place and our Expert made a wonderful poetic analysis of all the works.
