Manor House of La Mancha - Caserón manchego

An old manor house on the outskirts of the village, one of those with a turret and a dovecote. Of which there are few left. Seen from the area of the corrals. You can see the long rammed earth wall, which is gradually falling into ruin, and the stables that once housed animals and are now used as a garage for tractors. In Daimiel, this whole area of the outskirts was dotted with vegetable gardens, not very large, separated by walls. In the foreground, we can see the old entrance to an irrigation well, which has not served its purpose for more than half a century.

After a long, long summer holiday, I'm back on Steemit. This doesn't mean I've been idle: I have a lot of new work to share. I will do so as I scan the paintings.

Un viejo caserón manchego en las afueras del pueblo, de los de torrecilla con palomar. De los que quedan pocos. Visto desde la zona de los corrales. Se puede ver el largo murete de tapial, que se va arruinando poco a poco, y las cuadras que antaño alojaban animales y que ahora sirven de garaje para tractores. En Daimiel, toda esta zona del extrarradio estaba jalonado de huertas, no muy grandes separadas por tapias. En primer término, se vislumbra la vieja entrada a un pozo de los de regadío, que llevará más de medio siglo sin cumplir con su función.

Después de unas laaaaargas vacaciones estivales, regreso por Steemit. Esto no quiere decir que haya estado ocioso: tengo un montón de trabajos nuevos por compartir. Lo haré haciendo conforme vaya escaneando los cuadros.
