The Diary Game: DAY 8| 8th of August 2020, Saturday: Paypal Security
I hope you had a great day today everyone! I am happy to join the #thediarygame thanks to @steemitblog and the team for this initiative and to @fycee for inviting me. I will be writing the highlight of my day daily and I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to finish this game with a big AHOOOOOO!
Today is the last day of the weekend so I made sure that all chores should be done today as tomorrow will be the start of another battlefield at work due to the tons of work. Half of the day I spent cleaning and sorting things because I am sending a “Balikbayan Box” to the Philippines as I have many goodies to be sent to my family way back home. After hours of sorting and buying the remaining items my mother requested, I am finally able to close the box and asked the delivery guy to collect it. Too bad, I forgot to take picture of the box because I was so out of my mind doing a lot of things. In the afternoon, I was able to take a nap for an hour as my head was spinning due to the heat outside.
Just a few minutes ago, as I was trying to use my Paypal account because I am buying an item online when I can’t log-in to my account. Then I searched on my email when I read the notification from PAYPAL that my account was temporarily blocked due to malicious transactions on the credit card linked to my account. I haven’t noticed this email til now and it was sent a week ago. This got me so worried as it says that they have found a malicious transaction on my card.
It is becoming scary for me because I have experienced this kind of notice 2 months ago and I had raised a complaint to my bank that there were 2 transactions on my card on the previous months which were not purchased by me that was why they replaced my card last month. And now, again, the same thing is happening. I dunno what it is that it is becoming so unsafe to use cards nowadays. I have been extra careful with my card but still, there are people who do dirty business in the expense of others. I have called my bank again and requested for the replacement.
This day is stressful for me but thanks God, Paypal was able to notice about the suspicious transactions before it successfully credited to my account. Kudos to Paypal Team for the tight security for the benefit of their users.
