Abandoned village (16 pics) #club100
This post was written specifically for the Photo of the week #83 | Submissions post | Abandoned contest by @mister-omortson
Well, friends. I said I would go to abandoned places and I did it.
Today I invited my family to walk towards the river, and the road passes through an abandoned small village. Now there are big trees growing there. A lot of trees have already become covered with moss and started to fall. Many houses have been missing for a long time, people have built small garden houses in their place, which have also fallen into disrepair.
At the end of the 80s of the last century, people realized that hungry times were coming and everyone decided to get plots of land on which to grow vegetables. Closer to the tenth years of this century, people began to live better and abandoned their garden plots. They decided it was better to buy vegetables in stores. Horror... I bought potatoes in the store 1 time when I came to a big city to go to university. I realized that I can't eat these potatoes. But now it's not about food, but about an abandoned village.
Most likely, many of the former owners of these plots have long since died. I knew some people, they were much older than me. Young people took plots of land elsewhere.
Probably, in such a place you can shoot a movie with episodes of some abandoned count's castle.
I told my daughter today that when she was little, she wanted to look into this house. My daughter told me that she remembers it, because she was no longer small.
This is the end of my walk through the abandoned village for today. But this is not my last visit to this village. In the summer I often walk through it.

Abandoned villiages can be so interesting. I’ve always wanted to go round an old mental asylum but most are locked away now
Such places are usually closed so that outsiders cannot enter there without special permission.
I would like to take a walk through the old abandoned military units.
When I see these photos I always wonder how the place used to be before it was abandoned. That in itself will be another story worth the telling. Great pics!
In the late 80s there were a lot of good houses and there were a lot of people here.
It is hard for me to find such an abandoned place near where I live. I spotted an abandoned car though yesterday at the bottom of a hilltop woodland area. I like that you took your family for a walk and captured the tiny village especially for the contest. I hope to see your photo shortlisted when the winners are announced.
Thank you very much for your kind wishes.
Abandoned cars are a rarity here. Everything is given up for scrap at scrap collection points.
