Moscow Metro (Part 3): Partizanskaya (#club100)
Hello friends!!!
I continue my author's theme about the Moscow metro stations and today I will show you photos of the Partizanskaya station. Earlier, when I was studying and I had to take the subway every day, it was to Partizanskaya station that I came by bus (previously the station was called Izmailovsky Park)
In the morning, during rush hour, hundreds of people were entering and exiting the subway every minute.
Now I come to another station more often, more routes have been made there from my city, but sometimes I find myself at a Guerrilla station again.
Its name is in honor of the partisans - people who during the Great Patriotic War fought in the rear of the fascists and contributed to the victory of our country. The partisans were ordinary peaceful people who found themselves under occupation, but did not put up with it, but organized detachments and destroyed the enemy in the rear.
In the last photo there is a sculpture of Hero of the Soviet Union Matvey Kuzmich Kuzmin, who in February 1942 repeated the feat of Ivan Susanin, who still performed in the 17th century. They both devoured their lives and were able to destroy enemy units. (as guides, they led enemies into the wilds of the forest....and no one survived)
The metro station was built and began operation on January 18, 1944, but at first it was called "Izmailovsky Park of Culture and Recreation named after Stalin", It became the 28th station in the Moscow metro system
