HEALTHY GAME WEEK 5 CONTEST : CASHEW NUT THE BEST RECIPE TO TREAT HEART PRESSURE - 04/04/2021
I'm excited to be a part of this week's health contest; after 4 months on Steemit, I've only recently discovered this community where a young biologist like me can share my material.
Cashew is scientifically known as Anacardium Orientals, and it is mainly grown in parts of Brazil and Africa; however, as a Ghanaian, I will concentrate on cashew products from West Africa.
Many studies have been carried out in many countries, especially in India and Vietnam, where cashew is exported the most, on the health benefits of the cashew kernel. Most farmers in Africa sell the whole seed to buyers, and it is then exported to other countries for the production of cashew biscuits, cream, oil, and powder.
Recently, research has concluded that consuming cashew nuts can benefit people with Cardio Vascular Disorders, such as high blood pressure. Diabetes patients, in particular, are recommended to consume more cashew paste.
Low HDL cholesterol levels are causing more dyslipemedia among the elderly, and eating more cashew nuts can raise HDL cholesterol levels and boost heart health. Cashew nuts are high in monounsaturated fats, which benefit the body by supplying healthy cholesterol like HDL and reducing LDL, as well as lowering blood pressure and plaque formation in arteries,it also lower triglyceride levels in the body.
Because of the type of fat it contains (mono-saturated), the cashew nut disproves the argument that all nuts make the body increase in weight . Cashew has a nutrient that helps to burn fat by improving metabolism, and the combination of the many nutrients contained in cashew help combat heart attack, stroke, and any heart disease.
One thing I'd like to mention is how cashew can help a diabetic patience. The fat in cashew helps to minimize bad fat in the system, and the cashew oil contains antioxidants that help it combat inflammation, which can contribute to insulin resistance.
Increasing the cashew intake will also help to improve heart blood circulation because it contains more copper and other irons that combine to form red blood cells.
WHERE Do I GET CASHEW NUTS?
Most supermarkets sell them in a variety of forms, including paste, biscuits, and kernels; however, in Africa, we usually pick them from the farm and grill them for our meals.
Finally, I'd like to express my gratitude to the entire health republic team (@dobartim @tatjanastan @enveng) for this brilliant idea not forgeting the admin @healthrepublic .
Cashew has always been one of my favourite fruits. There's been some speculations about it that you don't eat milk right after eating the cashew fruit itself, you got any insight on this?
no it is not true because there is no proof to that fact , some people who feel pains in their stomach after taking too much acidic food like the cashew fruit juice , but then the cashew nut is cool for anyone at all .
mostly this argument is made on the cashew fuit juice not the nut
