📣 ✨ THE BEST FOOD POST :Homemade dishes carefully plated by mom
Tonight, I went to my mom's house for dinner, and she prepared several dishes with an impressive touch of presentation. It seems like she’s putting more effort into plating these days.
The menu included traditional steamed dishes, braised pork, chicken soup, steamed bass, and stir-fried tofu. There was also a new dish she recently learned to make—stuffed tofu skin rolls. The steamed dish had a base of Chinese cabbage, topped with fried pork skin, egg dumplings, shredded egg, and salted chicken, all brought together with a rich broth.
My favorite part, though, was the cabbage itself—it soaked up all the delicious flavors and had a comforting taste that I always enjoy. The braised pork was cooked to perfection, with a rich, glossy sauce that coated each tender piece of meat. The chicken soup was light yet flavorful, a perfect balance of warmth and nourishment. The steamed bass was fresh and delicate, with just the right amount of seasoning to highlight its natural flavor. However, the most interesting dish of the evening was the stuffed tofu skin rolls.
My mom had just learned how to make them, and they turned out surprisingly good. The filling was well-seasoned, and the tofu skin had a slightly chewy texture that complemented the ingredients inside. The only downside was the dark rosewood table, which made it difficult to capture good photos of the meal. Despite that, the dishes themselves were simple yet full of the unique flavors that only my mom can create. Home-cooked meals like these always bring a sense of warmth and nostalgia. Which dish would you like the most?
