RE: Ora te ne devi andare - Now you must leave [Multilanguage]

Do you know why Pellegrini and Frattesi didn’t start? It was all so horribly defensive from Italy, even when 2-0 down.

I think Switzerland will beat us next. They have a great chance of reaching at least the semis. If not the final.

Sort:

Spalletti was in total confusion, right from the call-ups. His module has always been based on the 4-3-3, but he called-up much defenders, including three right-backs, who never saw the field and left at home wings like Orsolini or Politano who could certainly have been more useful.
England are not playing as well as I would have expected, but they do have star players like Bellingham and Kane, which Switzerland do not have. Then the narrow escape for strong teams should give them an adrenalin boost for the next games. I see a Spain Vs England final. 😉

This is the same with Southgate and England. We called up 1 left back (Luke Shaw) who has been injured for months. 1 left winger (Anthony Gordon) who has played 2 minutes in 4 matches.

And to trump Italy's 3 Right Backs, we took 4 - deciding to start 3 in our opening match.

Kane has been awful so far and really struggled to have any sort of impact. His 2 goals are deceptive to his overall contribution to our play.

I'll be surprised if we beat Switzerland and if we do, Germany in the Semi-Finals feels impossible at the moment.

Spain have been very impressive. I love how high they press to win the ball... but... they have given away a lot of chances against far weaker teams.

I haven't checked the board, but England is in the same side as Italy, in the semifinals they should face Holland/Austria/Turkey.

On the other side in the quarter-finals there will be Spain vs Germany, and I think it will be the end for the Germans.

Then usually every big event has a surprise team, but if I had to bet a euro I would do so more on Austria than Switzerland (although I really love Xhaka and would do anything to have him in my beloved Juventus 😄)

Yes, you're correct. Switzerland next and if we get through, probably the Netherlands. We've certainly got lucky with the draw - the other side looks much harder.

This didn't age well 😉
