Problemi del primo mondo [il gioco]

La scorsa settimana abbiamo fatto un regalo di compleanno ad un amico piuttosto sfizioso. Si tratta di un gioco da tavola a cui abbiamo poi giocato domenica scorsa in riva al mare.

Il gioco è in inglese ed ha presupposti totalmente goliardici, basati sui "problemi" della vita moderna nei paesi più industrializzati.
Il gioco, che al momento si trova soltanto in lingua inglese, si chiama "First world problems (the game)", è fatto da due tipologie di carte, alcune di colore nero in cui sono scritte alcune situazioni generiche alle quali occorre rispondere con l'altro mazzo di carte (gialle).

Le carte nere hanno diciture tipo "Oggi ho pianto perché...", "non posso venire al tuo matrimonio perché...", "la cosa più incredibile di oggi..." ecc.
Nelle carte gialle sono invece scritte delle possibili risposte legate ai problemi (tutti scherzosi) della vita moderna, a partire dal "non funziona il wifi", continuando con "l'app meteo non dava pioggia ed ora non ho l'ombrello", o ancora "ho bisogno di una vacanza dopo la mia vacanza", "hanno finito la taglia dei pantaloni che mi piacciono" ecc ecc.

Ad ogni giocatore vengono date 10 carte gialle, ed un giocatore a turno pesca una carta nera che diventa la "domanda" a cui gli altri devono rispondere con una delle carte gialle che hanno in mano.
La scelta della risposta è totalmente arbitraria, così come la scelta del vincitore del turno: è colui che ha lanciato la carta nera che decide chi ha vinto il punto per quel giro, basandosi semplicemente sulla risposta che ritiene più buffa, simpatica oppure attinente.

Si tratta di un gioco molto semplice, le cui regole possono ovviamente essere variate a proprio piacimento.

Ecco un esempio di un turno:

Alla carta nera "non posso andare oggi a lavoro perché..." i miei amici hanno scelto di dare le risposte "mi sono addormentato durante un massaggio, che strano", "la mia fidanzata/il mio fidanzato ha dimenticato il mio compleanno", "i miei accessori non si abbinano al mio vestito".

Il divertimento è assicurato, e nel mentre si può rider sopra a situazioni che effettivamente creano talvolta dei problemi, ma che in fondo occorre riconoscere come... problemi da persone un po' viziate.

First world problems [the game]

Last week we gave a birthday present to a friend. It is a board game that we played last Sunday by the sea.

The game has totally goliardic assumptions, based on the "problems" of modern life in the most industrialized countries.
The game, which at the moment is only in English, is called "First world problems (the game)", is made up of two types of cards, the black ones have generic situations which must be answered with the other deck of cards (yellow).
The black cards have words like "Today I cried because ...", "I can't come to your wedding because ...", "the most strange thing today..." etc.
The yellow cards instead contain possible answers related to the problems (all joking) of modern life, starting with "the wifi doesn't work", continuing with "the weather app didn't give rain and now I don't have an umbrella", or still "I need a vacation after my vacation", "I can't find the size of the pants I like" etc etc.

Each player has 10 yellow cards, and one player in turn draws a black card which becomes the "question" that the others must answer with one of the yellow cards in their hand.
The choice of the answer is totally arbitrary, as is the choice of the winner of the round: it is the one who threw the black card who decides who won the point for that round, simply based on the answer that he considers most funny, nice or relevant.

It is a very simple game, the rules of which can obviously be varied to your liking.

Here is an example of a shift:

To the black card "I can't go to work today because ..." my friends chose to give the answers "I fell asleep on the massage table, how awkward", "my girlfriend / boyfriend forgot my birthday" , "my accessories don't match my outfit".

The fun is guaranteed, and in the meantime you can smile over situations that actually sometimes create problems, but which basically need to be recognized as... problems for people who are a little spoiled.
