Glass/Copper/ lamp

Personal keyword is lamp

Last week, our light or electricity was shut down from 3pm to 9pm at night. Good things that my boss bought 3 lamps filled with gas to give us light. I rember my childhood life using that kind of light. We had no electricity in our barrio until I reached high school.

The copper I used is my Filipino coin I brought with me since then and it is still in my pocket.

The place I took the picture is the cabinet where we put the glasses for water, coffee, tea and juice.

Thank you everyone and I almost forget my support this week . Jam now too busy preparing for the coming month of Ramadan.

Have a nice and blessed day. @davidesimoncini

Seems like many countries have copper coins. The camera has an issue focusing. Good thing unfocused cannot be used.

You already have Ramadan?

🍀♥️

The preparation is going on but Ramadan will be started on March 1,

Yes, that's what I mean. What's there to preparae for so many weeks?

It will take a month general cleaning, I am cooming many kind of foods to be frozen and reheated during ramadan so I will not be exhausted . A lot of thongs to prepare and give to their children who are already married .

Sister, that kerosene lamp was one thing almost all houses in our city had during the old days. Hahaha memories gyud kaayo. I used to love seeing this turned on during blackouts and seeing moths and other flying insects attracted to it and fly near the flame. 😄 That's right. Our Five Peso coins are copper based. Now that's good thinking and even better that you brought some of them with you. Nice entry and good luck to you 🙏

The lamp was famous being used by out national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Am I right or it's different?

I don't think they had kerosene then in the late 1800's. They used oil from lard, mostly. So I think this is a different lamp used by Jose Rizal.

I see, thank you for the clarification of my mind. Had a great day.

To you too Olivia, and thanks for coming back also this week. A big welcome and a big good luck| :)

You are welcome and thank you once again.
