RE: Stanchi o pigri? / Tired or Lazy? (IT / EN)
In Italy, laziness is also frowned upon, especially in the northern part. Instead let's say from Rome on down, where the climate is warmer, one is more welcoming toward laziness.
You're right, laziness is not tiredness or boredom.
Laziness means being well and in a good mood, but not feeling like doing anything.
And so everyone lives their laziness in their own way, maybe lying on the couch watching TV or reading a book, or spending time chatting on whatsup or being on social media.
Our societies have accustomed us to the idea of whoever stops is lost, but that is not the case.
We don't lose anything, in fact by stopping we regain our time, which is invaluable.
The doing nothing of laziness means instead doing something for oneself. 😜
I envy the South. I've been raised to be "useful" meaning one has always to be busy (one as in girls/women) I am still tired of my childhood after all those decades. The older I get the lazier I get (lazy next to not in the mood, not seeing any point in doing what repeats itself and what doesn't give me any fun)
I should move to the South or somewhere where it's warm - Africa is good too.
How is the weather with you?
I live about forty kilometers from Rome, in a seaside town and during the day it's still 20 degrees but then in the afternoon it drops drastically and reaches 6/8 degrees. It's okay, I can't have everything in life.😅 January and February are usually a bit chilly.
Can you see the sea? Is there a beach like in Barcelona? 😍
If that's the temp you are lucky. I started heating (a part) of the house (wood) but today the chimney doesn't work well so I guess it's early to bed with a hot water bottle. Winter didn't even started. 🥶
I'm born in the wrong place or I have the wrong DNA. I better start saving so I can be winters elsewhere again.
6-8 degrees C is perhaps daytime but it starts with freezing and fog, fog and mist don't make it feel better either. The plus is no need for a fridge.
The days are short. Let's see when the sun shows again (in two weeks perhaps?). It reminds me of Lapland.
🍀♥️
Gosh it's not pleasant not to have the sun for too many days in a row.
Sunshine is good for the mood!
We could use a warm place all year round.. 25 degrees during the day and 18 at night, that wouldn't be bad..😂
My neighborhood is less than a kilometer from the beach, however, it's quiet, I couldn't live too close to the sea because it's so chaotic in summer.
Here, it gets really hot in the summer. I also dream of 25 degrees all year round. 😎
