How to make the house cats happy, what you see in this evening's images is their scratching post, which due to climbing on it, repeatedly jumping on it, sleeping and doing its nails had split into two parts, as you can see in the 2nd shot of the day, but proceeding with the succession of images, my trusty Bosch screwdriver drill became extremely useful because, by assembling the adapter, I tried to fix the last piece of the scratching post to the central support again...

I carefully checked the structure, both of the lower part and the upper part, I thought that with 4 good screws it would be possible to firmly anchor the last piece of the scratching post to the underlying one, which is much more solid than the top, and I did exactly that, I carefully selected 4 screws from the chest of drawers that you see in the last image, not too big, not too small, and I tried with the screwdriver, without making any prior holes, to couple the two parts, with the final result which particularly satisfied me, in right now everything seems decidedly stable and anchored, a sign that my hypothesis has turned out to be correct...

So all that was over, the cats immediately went to check on my work, in particular the larger one of the two, named Chicca, immediately went to doze on the perch (this is what I call the 3rd shelf of the scratching post), an unmistakable sign that everything went well, after all when I found that the plastic was rigid, just as the pressed cardboard tube was hard and resistant, inserting the 4 screws was child's play, just a few minutes of effort, just those strictly necessary to quickly tighten the screws, being very careful to take both the internal and external parts, now, once the work is finished, I am really satisfied with how it turned out, tomorrow morning I will give a further cleaning to the ropes, of various calibers, which the critters of the house have thought to put to the test, repeatedly going so far as to weaken the strong weave of natural fibers very well, what do you want, they are always constantly at home, so they will have to do something, say the very ardent supporters of these felines, I simply say that they should try to respect these little toys that we provide them with more, so that they can last a little longer, and not constantly patched up by me as in this specific case...

Come far felice le gatte di casa, quello che vedete nelle immagini di questa sera è il loro tiragraffi, che a forza di salirci sopra, saltarci ripetutamente sopra, dormire e fare le unghie si era diviso in due parti, così come vedete nel 2° scatto di giornata, ma procedendo con la successione delle immagini, il mio fido trapano avvitatore Bosch si è reso estremamente utile perché montando l'adattatore ho provato a fissare nuovamente l'ultimo pezzo del tiragraffi al supporto centrale...

Ho controllato attentamente la struttura, sia della parte inferiore, sia della parte superiore, ho pensato che con 4 belle viti si sarebbe potuto saldamente ancorare l'ultimo pezzo del tiragraffi al sottostante, ben più solido rispetto al top, ed ho fatto esattamente così, ho selezionato attentamente 4 viti dalla cassettiera che vedete nell'ultima immagine, non troppo grandi, non troppo piccole, ed ho tentato con l'avvitatore, senza fare dei fori preventivi, ad accoppiare le due parti, con il risultato finale che mi ha particolarmente soddisfatto, in quanto adesso come adesso il tutto risulta decisamente stabile e ancorato, segnale che la mia ipotesi si è rivelata corretta...

Allora fine di tutto quanto, le gatte sono andate subito a controllare il mio operato, in particolare quella più grande tra le due, di nome Chicca, si è andata subito ad appisolare sul trespolo (chiamo così il 3° ripiano del tiragraffi), inequivocabile segnale che tutto è andato e filato per il verso giusto, del resto quando ho riscontrato che la plastica era rigida, come duro e resistente era il tubo di cartone pressato, inserire le 4 viti è stato proprio un gioco da ragazzi, pochissimi minuti di fatica, giusto quelli strettamente necessari per avvitare rapidamente le viti stando ben attento a prendere sia la parte interna sia la parte esterna, adesso, a lavoro finito, sono davvero soddisfatto di come sia venuto, domani mattina darò un'ulteriore ripulita alle corde, di vario calibro, che le bestiole di casa hanno ben pensato di mettere a dura prova, arrivando ripetutamente a sfibrare ben bene il forte intreccio di fibre naturali, cosa volete, sono sempre costantemente in casa, per cui qualcosa dovranno pur fare, dicono gli accesissimi sostenitori di questi felini, io semplicemente dico che dovrebbero provare a rispettare maggiormente questi giochini che mettiamo loro disposizione, in maniera che potessero durare un po' più a lungo, e non costantemente rappezzati da me come in questo specifico caso...
