From my perspective, the problem is not just with the quality of the article; rather, it is more about the people who are upvoting or commenting on the posts. In most cases, this is either because someone is already renowned enough to draw attention, or because they are buddies.
After my first registration on Steemit, I saw that some people were receiving a large number of votes for articles that were only a few sentences long. At first I was confused by this, but then I learned that a large number of these votes were generated by bots. The fact that it is not really about the content, but about manipulating the system in a way that optimizes reach and rewards, is a source of frustration for people trying to create meaningful work.
While I think votes and comments are important, I think the mechanics of how they are distributed could use some adjustment. Genuine participation, whether from friends or new acquaintances, should be seen as more valuable than automatically generated votes. At the same time, it is not only the awards that support the viability of the platform; but also the interaction of community members with each other, as well as the sense of unity that the comments provide
You posted twice the same part text...
The votes generated by bots and if high are the profit paid to investors which I actually find normal they receive something back in return for installing their Steem here and borrow it to give upvotes.
There are communities who do exactly the same.
But this is not the voting we talk about. If you have dollars and invest them in steem you are an idiot if you would not take the profit. An investor wants to see the effect of his investments. It is already a risk to leave it here since your wallet can be hacked and you can not take it out quickly to change into dollars if the value goes up and buy 50% more if the value drops.
This question is meant for you, me the average Steemian. So if you you have a choice what would you go for? A comment (if you know what the comment stands for) or an upvote (an no comment). What will happen if you never receive one single comment? Would you stay?

There was a mistake that caused me to submit the same portion twice; I apologize. The desire of investors to get their earnings back is something that I can absolutely understand. However, wallets may be hacked in what ways?
If I had to choose between commenting and upvoting, I believe that I would choose to remark. You may have the opportunity to create friends via comments, and as a result of those connections, you will have a greater chance of receiving upvotes.
Regarding the absence of any comments: If I were to not get any remarks, I would have the impression that I am not welcome here, and I would speculate as to why I should continue to be here.
Do you believe that Steem ought to place a greater emphasis on encouraging comments? A good illustration of this would be the implementation of rules in competitions that require participants to write at least two comments on other submissions.
