Unforgettable Italy" covered by @hamad222

Today the topic is to discuss beauty of italy. It is called the "Bel Paese". Italy is full of culture, history, works of art and monuments distributed throughout our regions and belonging to different eras, from the Colosseum to the church of Santa Maria del Fiore and beyond. I don't want to make a list of all the treasures we have, it would be useless and too long. However, I would like to remind everyone, myself included, to "open their eyes" to our artistic and landscape heritage that we do not properly value, that too often is taken for granted or forgotten. As mentioned before, we have works from every era and distributed throughout the territory and it is a rare thing because it is not so abroad. There are undoubtedly beautiful works, but they are usually "confined" to a single historical period.

If the power of the this photos is not enough for you, I tell you that we hold the record in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with 53 assets and I also tell you that the Colosseum is one of the 7 wonders of the world.

All this should make us very proud to be Italian, but it also gives us a sense of responsibility. We must continue to protect this heritage of ours, enhance it and ensure that it reaches the following generations intact.

Perhaps now you are wondering what I mean by this article.
I actually want to urge everyone not to take these treasures for granted. We often hear on TV that some monuments have been damaged, and in addition to initially irritating us we do nothing else. We do not value our heritage. We don't incentivize tourism enough.
In 2017, the data are certainly positive, but we are in 5th place in the ranking of tourist favorite destinations, making China, Spain, the United States and France move ahead.
According to an arctic of the loop, out of the 100 most visited cities in the world, Rome is in 13th place and Milan in 23rd.
We are moving in the right direction, but with everything we have we could do more, perhaps starting to solve problems that afflict us such as overturismo or deseasonalization. Take for example Alberobello, recognized by UNESCO, is attacked by tourists but it is at certain times of the year ... or Venice that receives a number of tourists that it cannot manage.

Our competitors are advancing trying to further reduce the problems mentioned above and to increase the economic income derived from tourism. We have some cities that have seen increases, such as Milan, but Rome is unable to take off. Many southern cities are even worse ... it will also be due to the lack of services. We need a leadership that does not take tourism for granted, and that does not remain impassive when we see news of vandalism on TV.
I quote the headlines from a few years ago, but not too distant.

I've got an uncle who reside in Italy. He hasn't failed to relate to me how beautiful Italy is especially the city of Turin where he resides.
