Balancing work and play: Finding harmony in a hectic world.
If ther is something that is getting so tedious to do most especially in this present world we actually find ourselves, I must say it is the ability to balance a lot of tasks and things at the same time. Sometimes trying to attend to our professional life and at the same time our personal life can really be quite demanding most especially when there are lots of things to do at the same time.
It can really be a major challenge for many of us when there are actually things to attend to, when we actually have tasks that have deadlines, we have a lot of emails and we have a lot of balance between the aspect of work and also play. Whether we like it or not, achieving a balance is really a necessity for us to achieve productivity and a fulfilled life at the end of the day.
Let me briefly talk about the importance of balance. So many of the time, many of us find it hard to actually strike a balance between having time for our work and also having time for play. When I mean playbi mens relaxation. A lot of people faced burnout in their working place because most of the time, they are just after working and working and working. They don't even have time to take a break and juts relax their mind. This at the end of the day for many people leads to stress which in many instances they can't handle.
But at the same time, if you want to stay relevant and been able to attend to responsibility most especially in the aspect of finance, you need to work also. It will be a disaster for you if you use all the time in your life to play and play. If you don't work, your value in this community will really reduce and before you know, you will lose revelant.
But am I saying you should always work? No. Am I saying you should always play? No. What I am just trying to say is the fact that let balance be achieved. If you don't mind achieve balance, in one hand, you will be battling with stress because you dedicate all your time to work and which will make you burnout and if you did not work and you okay every single time, you will lose your value and relevance in the society.
A lot of people actually want to achieve balance but the issue is the fact that they are really struggling with achieving the balance. First for you to achieve balance, you must make sure that you set boundaries between your professional life and your personal life. Know when to attend to your professional tasks and duties and also know when to attend to your personal task and duties. If you understand this, it will be better for you.
The issue with many of us is not that we did not really know the right thing. But we just fail sometimes to say no when there is a demand. The reason why a lot of us are less productive is because we just want to do everything at once. You can not do everything at once. You need to strike a balance whereby you know when to reject some commitments not because you are lazy but because you want to have time either for your personal life or for your professional life as situations will warrant.
You might not really know that there are a whole lot of benefits that are involved if you are able to achieve balance untill you start practicing it. It is not too late to start now. Cut down a lot of things that you are doing so that you can either have time for your professional life or your personal life. One must not suffer at the expense of the other. Both of them are valuable, all you need is striking a balance between both.
