The joy of cooking biryani on holidays
Today was a holiday and holidays mean spending some special moments with family. To make this special day more memorable I decided to cook Biryani. Biryani which is not just a food but a part of our heritage. While it is time consuming to cook its aroma and taste is a unique way to bring the whole family together.
cooking preparation
Before cooking Biryani, my first task was to collect the necessary ingredients. I prepared basmati rice, meat, onion, garlic, ginger, garam masala, keora water, and saffron. Especially fried onions, which add a special dimension to the taste of biryani.
To marinate the meat, mix ginger-garlic paste, curd, lemon juice, and necessary spices and keep it for an hour. This process makes the meat tender and delicious. Meanwhile, wash the rice and soak it for a while.
cooking process
First, I fried the onions in a large pot. The golden brown color of the onion means it is ready. Then I added the meat and started cooking slowly. The aroma emanating from the mixture of meat and spices transformed the entire room into a special atmosphere.
After that I fried the rice well in another pot. This is important for layering biryani. And added fried onions. Close the lid of the pot and simmer for about 30 minutes. Many people cook it with meat along with rice, but I don't think it's that good because not everyone likes to eat it with meat, in that case I don't prepare rice separately without meat and then add meat.
Serve and taste
After the biryani was ready, its aroma filled the entire room. To serve I took the biryani on a steel plate and added the meat broth to it. All the hard work seemed worth it when the whole family sat down to eat together and praised it.
Special holiday moments
Cooking this biryani was not just a meal preparation task, but it created an occasion to spend time with our family. Helping in the cooking process together, then the joy of eating together—these moments enrich the memories of our lives.
Conclusion
Cooking biryani is an art. It is not just cooking but a mixture of patience care and love. A holiday is not just about relaxing but also about spending some special moments with family. Just as today was special, this biryani cooking experience will also be memorable.
