SUMBA ISLAND ,INDONESIA

Sumba is a island in eastern Indonesia. It has an area of 11,006.62 square kilometers . The language spoken in suba is HAWU. In historicals this island exported sandalwoods and also called as a sandalwood island or sndal island. This island is located inbetween the komodo and sumbawa .and facing towards the indian ocean. The island is rich in bird life with nearly 200 birds . The sumbanese speaks variety of languages related to Austronesian languages. The administration in this island is splited into four regencies.

The sumba locals have the Traditional sumbanese houses near bondokodi, west sumba. Sumba is famous for ikat textiles like hand woven ikat.

Sumba island is one of the unique islands in Indonesia and it is not known to many of the people around the world because of the lack of tourist . Thats why iam writing this blog so that you can be able to know about SUMBA. There are two ways to reach sumba one is by flight or by boat it depens upon your transport charges. Most of the people come to sumba explore it with travel agency but to get more experience travel in your own. The landscape of sumba is really amazing for the photographers to click some stunning photos . Sumba has a world's best rated hotel but it's quiet costly. I will say Sumba is one of the best islands in Indonesia. The sumba is best for it's beaches , landsape and also waterfalls . In sumba you can see crystal clear water in beaches and waterfall.
