The Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán - San Cristóbal de la Laguna, Tenerife
Not sure how many times we tried to visit the Church of Santo Domingo in La Laguna. Maybe it was the holidays or something but we stood in front of locked doors several times.
Since it's such an important part of La Laguna's history we made one last effort to visit towards the end of our For 91 Days on Tenerife and we finally made it in.
The must striking feature of the church are the wall paintings and frescos by Mariano de Cassío covering the entire walls of the inside of the church. We were not too thrilled about the Christmas decorated altar so we hope you can visit this church outside of the Xmas season.
