Sports play an important role in Peace and achieving sustainable development goals. All kinds of sports have their own cultural, geographical, health, and economic role. Football is the which is global, economical, and healthy sport. It also provides a platform for gender equity and empowering women both on and off the field. It is a game that promotes mutual understanding, improves tolerance potential, and respects and improves himself.

Background

In May 1924, the first international football tournament was held in the summer Olympic Games arranged in Paris. In this tournament, people from all regions of the world can participate. In May 2024 it was the 100 anniversary of the football tournament. In memory of this, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution A/RES/78/281. In this resolution, the 25 May is declared as World Football Day.
This resolution encourages all countries of the planet to support football and other sports games as a main tool to promote development, peace, and women and girl empowerment(gender equity). This resolution also declared that all countries should adopt policies and programs to promote football and other sports games.

On this occasion, I visit the Shamshi khan Talash football ground. I meet with the football players and fans. I asked about football games, their importance, and their needs. I also interviewed them about the problems they face in playing football. They answer that we face several obstacles in playing football such as economic problems, counseling, and lack of facilities.
