The pebbles are there because I didn't want the cats to think of the pot as a toilet when the plant was smaller. I read that they do best with morning sun only and that's what it gets there. It's also rained a lot the past 2 years and it seems to have appreciated that

Thanks! It gets a bit roasted when the sun is directly overhead in spring before the rainy season starts and I'm thinking that I should make plans to shade it if the coming el Nino is all that we fear

I don't know what to expect. The 2015 rolling heatwaves were awful, I hope it isn't worse

I'm going to buy a lot of shade cloth. For the vegetables too
