In India, people prefer to invest in gold because they think that gold is one of the assets that can give them good returns. This is one side of the story because in India most of the women invest in crypto because of the emotional sentiments and once they invest then they are hardly ready to sell it off unless there is something critical. It's like they are selling their gold holdings only when there is some emergency and they need funds desperately whatever they own is going to be with them. Most people invest in gold jewelry which also incurs some cost but they are fine with it because there is an emotional connection with gold.

The investment sector in India also needs reform because people need to learn and understand that time has changed. Now since the timing changed the way thread to investment has also changed and it is time when people to be educated about the new instruments for investment. Now even if someone wants to invest in gold then digital gold has become one of the options but surprisingly not many people are aware of it.

There are so many advertisements happening on traditional social media about digital gold but is still the percentage of awareness is still very low. I have recently discussed with my friends that are they fine to invest in digital gold and the clear answer is no because they do not want it since they are not going to have physical custody of it.

Most people invest in gold because they want to hold it and if something is not coming to their hand then as per them it's not worth investing their money in this digital form of gold. Crypto has turned out to be a better option and many people invest in crypto now even though they know that it is not legal or illegal in India. People know that after investing in cryptocurrency they are not going to get anything on their hands and they are fine with it but with gold, they are not OK.

Even if you go through the historical performance of Bitcoin versus gold then Bitcoin has proven that it is the best option to go for if you are investing for great returns. There was a time when gold was the best option but not anymore since its returns are not so attractive and of course, six to seven percent is compensated against inflation. If we compare the last five years with Bitcoin then there is no other way or instrument that can offer so much like Bitcoin did.
