INTRO

Tron blockchain is one of the popular blockchains in recent times and this is because of some unique features of this blockchain that making it very much user-friendly public chain. One of the unique features of this blockchain is the resources offered to the native token (TRX) holders and allowing to earn with their TRX staking by part of the mining in Delegated Proof of Stake consensus algorithm of the chain. Those resource holders can reduce the transaction fee as well. The three common resources are Tron Power, Bandwidth Point, and Energy. Let's know about these three today.

WHAT IS TRON POWER(TP)

If someone have liquid TRX in their wallet can trade but Tron blockchain is allowing TRX holder to freeze/lock/stake/power up those tokens for certain period of time. As they are locking or freezing their asset for certain period of time they are awarded with some Power (named Tron Power) for sacrificing the liquidity of the TRX token. For staking or powering up 1 TRX for 72 hours will get 1 Tron Power (TP).

The more TRX staked by any user will get more TP. This TP can be used to vote to the witnesses (Super Representatives or SRs) to be part of the mining system. Anyone can cast 1 vote with 1 TP. Thus, will get the mining reward according to the proportion of their Tron Power given to the witnesses. So, TP is helpful for the users to be part of the miners and earn some passive income in this system of Tron Blockchain. Your power will be removed when you unfreeze Tron Power into TRX and casted votes will be invalidated.

WHAT IS BANDWIDTH POINT(BP)

Bandwidth Point is the total number of bytes available to any account for any transection. When someone stake TRX for a certain period of time, awarded with either Bandwidth or Energy. The system will ask whether he/she want Bandwidth or Energy along with TP. This bandwidth is also given for sacrificing liquidity of TRX. The Bandwidth can be used to make transection without fee or reducing the fees of transection in the chain. This is cool and unique feature by the network because by holding native token users are achieving bandwidth that allowing them to reduce transaction fees in the system.

When users will have small balance in their wallet, will have the facility of transaction without fee. That’s why small users can transfer TRX without fee here. Having Bandwidth will treat you as an active member of the blockchain and will have opportunity of voting to SRs to be part of the mining system. An active account is awarded with 1500 BP for free every day. This is well enough to maintain some regular transection by a small user. For higher transection, users should stake more TRX for gaining Bandwidth otherwise they will have to incur a certain amount of TRX as the fee of transection.

WHAT IS ENERGY

Normally, Energy indicates the CPU resources consumed for running smart contracts. So, it’s an unit of CPU uses in this blockchain network. Energy is another exclusive feature of Tron network because this energy is used for reducing the fee of transferring some other tokens on the chain. User can choose whether they would like to get bandwidth or energy while powering up their TRX. Energy works similar to the Bandwidth but energy is being used for creating and operating smart contracts.

You can easily make zero fee of transaction for some other native token of the blockchain with the help of Tron Energy.
