AFTER TWO DAYS GONE...
We finally made it back, alive!
What a trip it was, and what an amazing time. I've dreamed of doing this for years, and now we finally did! I can't wait to try it again, or to do something similar.
A 20 MILE KAYAK TRIP DOWN THE BUFFALO RIVER
Since moving to the Ozarks, we've seen parts of the Buffalo River for years, and have always dreamt of taking a canoe or kayak trip down it. When some friends invited us to go for a trip, we jumped at the opportunity. Yesterday, we woke up before sunset and drove to the river. Last night, we slept on the riverbank. Tonight, just before dark, we finally returned home.
From our family, only Pinkie-Pepper and I went. A good group of other families (or partial families) also enjoyed the trip. While there were a few canoes that tipped over, everyone was safe. We made some excellent memories, caught some fish, and even have a video coming out eventually. It was an amazing time, but it's good to be back home.

Awesome memories with your daughter. Looking back, I wish I had taken those special one-on-one trips with each of my sons. We love you all!

Glad it was fun! I was bummed we couldn't go, but we didn't have the necessary gear to make the trip. Hopefully next time we can go! I hope you stayed warm! :)
