What are Thumbnails?

Thumbnail is an image with a reduced file size used as a placeholder for full multimedia content. It should have to be more compelling and eye-catchy. It is the first View of the idea we get from a preview that influences the reader's decision to open it or not. As a packaging image that encourages people to shop, a thumbnail also looks at the original view of content such as photos and videos or it attracts blog readers. A well-crafted Thumbnail attracts interest and gets clicks. Thumbnail is the face of your complete post. It is an easy way to communicate with the viewer.

Why Steemit post Thumbnail is so Important?

This does not apply in the Technology era, because we all judge all content on the web with its Thumbnail. But if you want to appeal to your viewers and steemit Communities, having a custom Thumbnail will be a great help.

Here are 10 Pro tips to help you to design your thumbnails professionally

1. Enter title text to deliver the context of your post
2. Use the best font style
3. Always Use a relevant and High-Resolution image
4. Your Thumbnail must show Consistency
5. Differentiating your post
6. Use good contrast in your thumbnail
7. Make a different and professional look by using your logo or good color schemes for all your thumbnails

It is an actual working area we can say it as Canvas of PowerPoint.

It shows all slides we can easily delete a slide or simply add new slides by using slides thumbnail Pan

Let's Practice Create Basic Post Thumbnails.
For this tutorial, we’ll start with a Blank presentation.

Open Powerpoint From Start Menu

Select New, choose Blank presentation, and click on the Create icon.

When you choose to create a blank presentation

PowerPoint will open a presentation with a Title Slide. Once the Title Slide is open, you’ll see a slide with two placeholder text boxes for a title and a subtitle

We are going to create a STEEMIT post-thumbnail so we remove this text placeholder

Steemit Thumbnail image size 800 X 480 pixels , so in PPT use Inches or Centimetres as measurement values .

Click on Design Tab from Menu Bar then click on

Slide Size

Then select ‘Custom Slide Size’ from Drop Down Menu pop window will appear

Set it as Width = 8 inch
Height 5 inch Slide.

Click on ‘Insert’ from the menu bar then click on Picture add your desired image as background

Set the image to fill the overall background of the slide(Keep in mind image should be HD for better results).

In Insert Tab click on shapes add Rectangle shape Cover all Background .

Select the shape Click on Format Tab from Slide Menu ,fill your desired color into shape and in outline of the shape to set it to 'No fill'

(Format tab appears on menu bar with selection of any object on slide )

From Format Tab in shape style Click on color then go to ‘More fill colour’ and Set Colour Transparency to your desired value More value more transparent the Shape

Group the Both Object By Pressing Ctrl+A (It will select image and transparent shape ) With Selection Then Right Click from Mouse From appeared menu Click on Group .

Now it is one object you can move it or decrease its size it will work on it collectively.

Again Click on Insert Tab , Draw a Text-Box and write your Desired Text

Select Your Text Click on Home Tab and in it format your text

From Home tab from font Box you can change your font Size , Align Your Text ,Change color of your text and many more styling .

Save your work by choosing “Save ” from the File menu, and selecting an appropriate file name .Select Jpeg file format.

Your slide is saved as Image file .Now you can use it as Your Post Thumbnail .

Now you can add any image related to your niche and skills in it as I have add Chicken Karahi PNG file in it cause it is related to tutorial .You can also use this slide as your Cover Slide as well .
