Greetings to you all! Hope you all are doing great. This is my first post in #SteemInfinityZone(SIZ).
Now, Let’s hop on to our topic which is Artificial Intelligence.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

As we see AI is one of the most “in demand” branch of technology, we must learn what is it.

Artificial intelligence is the simulation or imitation of intelligence processes of humans by computer systems or machines. AI is a wide-ranging branch of computer science which enables us to produce such devices capable of replacing human to some extent. Over the years, humans have been able to develop such systems which can process natural language, can recognize images, perform tasks we expect a human can perform and much more.

HOW THIS ALL BEGAN?

A mathematician Alan Turing in 1950 asked a simple question “Can machines think?”, to answer this question positively, all this hustle of making intelligent machines began, this formed the basis of Artificial intelligence.

HOW AI WORKS?
Generally, AI systems work by taking in large amount of unprocessed data, then analyze the data for correlations and patterns and after this analyzation, use this processed data for predicting or performing future states or tasks. AI mainly focuses on these four things

• Thinking like a human
• Rational thinking
• Acting like a human
• Rational acting
Basically, the sole purpose of AI is to produce machines which can think and act like humans and also are able to reason their actions.

TYPES OF AI:

AI is divided into four main types namely

• Reactive machines
• Limited memory
• Theory of mind
• Self-awareness

1.Reactive machine:

A reactive machine is the one which works on the basic principles of AI. It is only capable of using it’s intelligence to receive and recognize a stimuli and react to it in real-time. Th6is clearly indicates that it has no memory of its own, it cannot save the experiences for future use. Reactive machines are capable of performing limited tasks and they cannot analyze an unknown situation and react accordingly.
An example is Deep Blue, which was able to defeat Gary Kasporav in a chess game in 1990s. The machine was designed to be able to identify different places on chess board and how each piece moves as per the rules of chess. It determined the most logical move according to the information it had and played but it was not able to store this experience to inform itself for future purposes. These kind of reactive machines are used to perform repeatable tasks.

2.Limited memory:

This type of artificial intelligence is able to store data which means it can use its past experiences in future situations. This kind of intelligence is more complex than reactive machines and has more capabilities as compare to reactive machines and is more efficient. Basically, in this type of AI, the model is trained continuously to analyze the data perceived and then utilize it. For this purpose, training data is created, machine learning model must be made, it is trained to make predictions according to the data, must be able to recognize human response or environmental feedback. After receiving the feedback, this cycle of steps is repeated.
An example is Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) which utilizes data stored ion the past in prediction of the next item. It uses recent information and regard it as important for new predictions. It derives conclusions from the past data, stores it and uses it to analyze and predict for the future situations.

3.THEORY OF MIND:

This concept of Artificial intelligence is still theoretical. This concept aims to produce a machine or a system which could understand emotions of other living things just as human beings do. This means that a machine can understand and comprehend a bunch of emotions and other feelings while making a decision. The basic idea is to imitate the human mind and be able to understand and go through a sea of self-reflection and determination to make a decision in particular circumstances. Th6is concept will surely create a relationship between people and AI.

4.SELF AWARENESS:

After Theory of mind becomes a reality, the next step for AI would be to make a machine self-aware. As humans have consciousness and emotions and have a sense of identifying what a person in front of him is feeling and communicate accordingly. AI tends to produce a more humanly machine and by achieving these qualities its aim can be accomplished.

ADVANTAGES OF AI:

• A good detail can be added in projects requiring detail using AI.
• AI helps to complete tasks involving huge amounts of data in lesser time.
• AI helps in producing accurate results, something which is not guaranteed when humans are working.
• Virtual agents powered by AI make things more efficient and manageable.
