Greetings fellow steemians!
I am Faizan from Karachi, Pakistan. As a student of Computer Informations Systems Engineering, I truly know the implications of IT in the upcoming era that I will share with you. I appreciate the efforts of the SIZ team and especially the admin @cryptokraze who organized such a productive contest. I always had a keen interest to know more about IT and explore further the upcoming technological revolution. People that are born in the 2000s have truly felt the role of technology in their lives. Computers became a part of their lives since childhood, they witnessed the evolution of smartphones from keypads to touch screens. Now as adults they are witnessing the advancements in the field of AI, smart homes, tesla's electric cars, Neuralink, transgenic food, social media, and what not! So let's dive into the idea that how technology will transform our future.
Smart Homes
Having studied the Internet Of Things, I know how smart homes will revolutionize the lifestyle of every individual. It will minimize your interaction with appliances by making them smart, aware of their surroundings, and connected to IoT systems. You will control every appliance with your mobile phone or smart assistants like Alexa and Google Home. You can schedule the automation and settings of every appliance, Your lights and fans can change colors and speed with respect to the temperature outside or your mood.
IoT has a wide variety of applications in consumer electronics, you can literally buy the smart version of every appliance these days, smart refrigerators, air conditioners, and what not! Artificial intelligence
We can't even comprehend the impact and caliber of Artificial Intelligence. You might have noticed yourself, that when you see someone in real and come back home, you astonishingly have them in people you may know tab of your Facebook. You searched for something to buy, and suddenly every advertisement you see on applications is related to that very specific thing. That's artificial intelligence working behind the scenes. Interestingly there is google's venture which detects flu trends in more than 25 countries using google trends, you can read more about them here
Unfortunately, AI will also take over industries and manual jobs in the upcoming years, unemployment will rise unprecedentedly. Some economists predict that sooner or later, unskilled humans will be completely useless. Robots and 3D printers will substitute humans in industries such as manufacturings and packing. Highly intelligent algorithms will replace humans in white-collar jobs. People whose employment was secure have their jobs endangered by AI such as bank clerks, drivers, travel agents, etc.
Automotive Industry
The automotive industry will witness tremendous changes in the upcoming years due to advanced technological advances over the upcoming era. From the use of engines that used fossil fuels as fuel, the implications of technology are shaping the automobile industry.
Autonomous vehicles will completely transform the driving experience by eliminating the need for a human driver. Audi has already developed a cruise control system that introduced this feature. The cruise control system uses 30 control sensors to gather information about the vehicle’s environment to the processor.
Another very recent example of technology affecting the automobile industry is Tesla's cyber truck. This vehicle not only gives the actual future vibe due to its modern-looking body and innovative design but also has advanced features that are implemented through top-notch technology.
Food industry
Ever ordered something from any food app and your order did not arrive on time? Technology has a piece of good news for you, drones are now set to be implemented in the food industry. There will be drone hubs, the drone will take off from its charging station, arrive at a food restaurant, pick your food and deliver it to you at your place.
Recently in Islamabad, Foodpanda successfully delivered the first order via drone, bringing the technology from first world countries to the third world country. There will be no more riders risking their lives for the fast delivery of your order.

Education
Technology will revolutionize how the process of education goes on in today's world. There will be no more need of waking up early in the morning, commute the long roads towards the institutions, spending hours taking unwanted lectures. You will be able to learn anything in the comfort of your sofa. You will learn anything, anytime from your choice of tutors. An initial form of this experience is online learning apps like Udemy and Coursera, where millions of students are learning the courses of their choice at a very affordable price.
