Hello great minds today, thanks to @cryotokraze and @siz-official for this opportunity.I will be talking on the introduction to computer networking. I will try to talk extensively on this.

INTRODUCTION
Computer networking came in place as an answer to the need to share data on time. Before the computer Networks,users needed to either print out documents or copy documents files to disk or flash in other to enable other use it. If others made changes to the documents, there was no easy way to effect the changes. But with the Advent of computer and networks these changes can be effected in a simple and flexible way.

Definition of networking/computer networking
A network can be defined as the connection of two or more independent computers system or terminals in order to share software, and hard ware resources.

GOALS OF COMPUTER NETWORKING
the goals of computer networking include:
. Sharing information/data : the ability to share information quickly and cheaply has been proven objective of networking technology. The computer networking is aimed at making information available for sharing and reducing the need for paper communication.
. Sharing hardware/software: before the Advent of computer Networks, users needed their own printers, and other devices to share information. The invention of computer network is to aid documents to be shared easily and creates training effeciencies .
. Centralizing administration and support : the aim of computer network Is to enable support task simplified.

To establish a network,the following basic components is needed

SERVER :this can be defined as a computer system of relatively high capacity and efficiency through which network resources are allocated and managed.
WORK STATION :this can be defined as a computer or group of computers that exists in a domain or share certain things in common.
LINK EQUIPMENT :these includes cables,bridges, routers etc.
NETWORK RESOURCES:these can be a printer, internet connection, network scanner e.t.c
