Here I show the classification of computer
I hope you like my work.
Classification of Computers:
Computers are classified on the basis of size, speed, processing, power and price.
(01) Personal Computers:
Personal computer is designed to be used by one person at a time. It consists of a processor memory and one or more input output and storage devices. Personal computer is commonly used in business at home and other fields of life.
(02) Desktop Computers:
Desktop computers are the most common type of personal computer. It is designed in a way that all its components fit on a desk table.
(03) Laptop:
Laptop is a mobile computer that has keyboard screen and other devices integrated into a single compact case.
(04) Minicomputers:
Minicomputer is typically larger more powerful and more expensive than personal computer. Mini computer can serve up to several hundreds connected user at the same time.
(05) Mainframe Computers:
Mainframe computer is a large computer designed to serve several thousands connected users at the same time. It is more powerful and expensive than mini computer.
(06) Supercomputers:
Supercomputer is the fastest and the most powerful computer. It is the biggest in size and more expensive than any other computer. It is used to perform Complex task.
(07) Embedded Computers:
An embedded computer is designed for special purposes. It works as a component in a larger product.
Types of Computers:
Analog Computers:
Analog computer represents physical quantities in the form of waves or in a continuous form voltage pressure speed and temperature are some physical properties that can be measured in this way.
Digital Computers:
Digital computer processes data in a numerical form using digital circuits. It performs arithmetic and logic operations with discrete values 0 and 1, everything is described as ON and OFF where one represents ON and 0 represents OFF
Hybrid Computers:
A hybrid computer is a combination of both analogue and digital computer. It combines the best characteristics of both types of computers. It can accept data in analogue and digital form.
