A raft made of banana trees:

In the earlier era, boats were not very popular in rural areas. So the people of the village used to tie four or five bananas together and stick bamboo or tree branches in them crosswise so that they do not break. In addition to banana trees, rafts were also made of bamboo and tree bark at that time.

Traditional banana tree rafters:

This traditional banana tree vine has many names. In ancient times rafts made of banana trees were widely used as boats were not available. Banana tree rafts are of immense importance for river crossing especially during monsoon. The domestic workers who were caught in the flood waters of that time rode on the rafts made of banana trees and the communication system was comfortable.

Childhood memories:

When I was a child, we together with some friends from the village used to make rafts out of banana trees and bamboo during the rainy season. During the monsoons, the surroundings are flooded with rainwater. Due to the difficulty of traveling on the roads, we used to travel on these rafts made of banana trees. Again, when the rainy season passed, I used to float a raft made of banana trees in the pond and go to and fro. Sometimes we used to fight over these banana tree rafts. There are many childhood memories that make you want to go back to the old days. In the old days, fishermen used rafts made of this banana tree to catch fish.
