Hello everyone, welcome to the first week of the 8th edition of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. This week, we are focused on exploring how much of a scout we are! As our community approaches its 2nd anniversary on March 1st, we wanted to share an activity that is connected to our roots.

I am @harun16, a proud Bangladeshi Scout. Being a Scout has taught me many valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving, and I am eager to put my knowledge to the test. In this post, I will share my experiences and insights on what it means to be a Scout and how much of a Scout I really am. So let's dive in!

As a Scout, I have always strived to live by the principles outlined in The Scout Law. Each article holds immense importance in shaping one's character and personality. However, one particular article that caught my attention is "The scout smiles and sings in his difficulties."

This article emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity. Life can be tough at times, and we all face challenges that may test our resolve. But as Scouts, we are taught to persevere and face these challenges head-on with a smile on our faces.

When we smile, we not only boost our own morale but also spread positivity to those around us. Likewise, singing is a great way to relieve stress and lift our spirits, even in the most difficult situations. This article has taught me the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and being resilient in the face of adversity.

One article of the Scout Law that has always resonated with me is "The scout sees in nature the work of God and protects it." This value has been instilled in me since I joined the Scouts, and it has influenced the way I interact with nature.

An experience that really stands out to me was when my troop went on a camping trip to a local national park. One evening, I was on a hike with a few other scouts when we came across a group of hikers who had left a large amount of trash on the trail. Without hesitation, we stopped and picked up all the trash, making sure to leave the trail better than we found it.

This experience showed me the importance of respecting nature and doing our part to preserve it. Since then, I have made a conscious effort to be mindful of my impact on the environment, whether it's picking up litter or conserving water and energy at home. Being a scout has taught me to appreciate the beauty and importance of nature, and I strive to protect it in any way I can.

Thank you for the opportunity to share about my friend who is a Scout member. His name is Mustafizur Rahman Shipon and he is a fellow student at my college. He is a member of our college scout team and has been actively participating in various scouting activities.

I have had the opportunity to work with Shipon on several occasions, and I have seen firsthand how he embodies the values of the Scout Law. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow scouts, and he is a great team player.

In addition to participating in the regular scout meetings and activities, Shipon has also taken part in several community service projects organized by the scout team. These projects have included cleaning up local parks, organizing blood donation drives, and providing support to local orphanages.

Overall, I am proud to know Mustafizur Rahman Shipon and to be a part of the same scout team as him. He is a true example of a Scout who lives by the Scout Law and is always ready to help those in need.

It reminds us that as Scouts, we have a responsibility to make a positive difference in our community and country. We strive to uphold the values of honor, service, and loyalty in all that we do, and we take pride in serving Bangladesh through various community service projects and initiatives. This motto serves as a constant reminder of our duty to serve our country and fellow citizens with honor, selflessness, and loyalty.
