Today, I heard such a program, saying that the life of Chinese people is like an endless senior year. Honestly, I was just listening. I didn't quite understand what the program was about. Basically, there are three stages. Before Chinese adults, the most stressful and most tightly controlled period is the third year of high school. But most people, after a slightly relaxed four years of college, enter the stage of adult work, to a large extent, just repeat the pattern of high school life, no self, strict discipline, bear a lot of pressure. There's some truth to that, but I don't know. Maybe it's the norm.

Because in a sense, China's education system is an extension of the ancient imperial examination system. In ancient times, scholars received educational examinations in order to become officials, in modern words, to enter the system. In fact, the current education, including higher education, is divided into many professions, but most of these institutions of higher learning are funded by the government and need to adapt to the market, so many of these professions are out of touch with market demand. What people value is the diploma issued by the government, which becomes a stepping stone to the system. Of course, different from ancient times, the scope of the current system, the meaning of the system is wider, the ancient is to become an official, and now to become a civil servant, enter state-owned enterprises, public institutions, etc., also need these diplomas to play a role.

But after all, if you can enter the system, in fact, the pressure of life will be much less. Of course, there are other concerns, but after all, China is a market economy, and these institutions of higher learning are not immune. Since the diploma is valuable, they are also happy to use the diploma as a commodity, in exchange for the real money of the people, which has caused the indiscriminate issuance and devaluation of the diploma. Therefore, there are quite a large number of people, after experiencing the suffering of the third year of high school, entering the university, and then entering the society, still have to bear the kind of pressure life similar to the third year of high school. In other words, the life of the Chinese people is like an endless senior year, which has a certain truth.

But the reason why this program really attracted me was its opening line, which said an interesting phenomenon, that is, many people even after graduating from college and working for many years, when they go to sleep at night, they still dream that they have returned to their student days, and they have returned to a time very close to the exam. And at this time, the knowledge learned that year, almost forgot. In fact, the feeling of anxiety and despair, and then the whole person is dominated by the feeling of anxiety and despair, and then wake up from the dream, feeling that it was just a nightmare. Not to mention, I have also experienced such dreams, although the frequency is not very frequent. Then look at the comments below the video, actually many people have had similar dreams, the prevalence of this phenomenon is far beyond imagination.

The high-pressure management and learning mode of the third year of high school derived from the college entrance examination system has caused much harm and psychological shadow to the people's psychology. Like the imperial examinations of ancient times, it is considered to be the most powerful tool for the middle and lower classes to challenge the family and today's class solidification, which is a kind of progress, but is it really the best choice? I agree that the core of traditional Chinese culture is Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, of which Buddhism refers to the Buddhism introduced from India. The reason for this is that the promotion of the imperial examination system made scholars devote a lot of energy to studying Confucianism, which emphasized the hierarchy and the interests of the ruling class, and suppressed the development of Buddhism and Taoism to a large extent. Even some Western scholars think that Chinese culture is authoritarian and totalitarian, which is actually wrong. Both Taoism and Buddhism emphasize equality to a certain extent, especially Buddhism, which completely disappeared in India, its birthplace, where people still adhere to the caste system, but can flourish in China, which shows that the Chinese people are still eager for equality, equality and free development in the spirit.

The college entrance examination is the same, the whole third year of high school is to prepare for the college entrance examination, in order to achieve good results, schools are unified management of students, even like Hengshui High School college entrance examination professional households carried out almost prison management, students every moment of life are precisely planned, without any independent space, so it is called the college entrance examination concentration camp. Among the other schools, the schools in this area only vary in degree. At the same time, the exams are graded by scores, so the competition is not so much how much you learn, but how proficient you are at solving the problems. So this is the face of other people's competition, do well, your own efforts to do well, does not decide what, if other people's grades and scores are higher than you, then your efforts will be meaningless. It also puts everyone in a competitive situation. In this environment, people have no control over the environment, so they will have a very strong sense of powerlessness and anxiety, and it is not suitable to cultivate good interpersonal relationships.

But now when we have children, we find that I have to enter another cycle, this cycle seems to be more severe than the one we have experienced, which may be the reason why many post-00s do not want to have children. What can we do in the face of such a system? I think in the Internet era, we still have the opportunity to make changes, maybe we can start from small things, I want to try to make a public account to start a simple attempt.
