Before I continue my post, I want to say Happy Eid to all Muslims in this community.

Well, on this occasion I am very grateful to be able to return to be present with all of you to share my insights and experiences, one month ago which in the month of Ramadan I did not have time to create content because I focused on doing charity fasting in a month full of blessings.

So right away. In this content, I will share about two types of plants that really caught my attention, namely "Hydrangea and Homalomena"

At the beginning of the month of Ramadan, I went to Benar Meriah (Aceh, Indonesia) with my brother-in-law to buy sugar cane there, we stopped at the house of Mr. Supardi's brother, at his house I saw a very unique ornamental plant and I thought this one plant When I approached the plant there were two types of plants growing inside close together. The two plants are Hydrangea and Homalomena, when viewed from afar the two plants are like a rare type of plant, so that makes me curious.

I learned the names of the two plants from Mr. Supardi's son. From his son I got insight and knowledge of both types of Hydrangea and Homalomena plants

Hydrangea and Homalomena

Here I will explain about Hydrangea First and then I will explain about Homalomena. Hydrangea Flower or often known as Hortensia Flower is one of the plants that has the most beautiful flowers in the world. No wonder the shape and color of this flower will surely captivate anyone who sees it. Hortensia flower is one of the popular ornamental plants among ornamental plant lovers even in the wider Indonesian community. You can find this ornamental plant in Japan, the Himalayas, China, Indonesia, and South America and North America.

This plant itself actually comes from a subtropical area and thrives in highland areas such as where we are in the central Aceh region (Benar Meriah, Aceh, Indonesia). This plant can grow well in soil that contains a lot of sand and compost. In Benar Meriah (Aceh, Indonesia) The people there often cultivate so that you can see these ornamental plants in their yards or in their gardens.

This plant used to be very popular in the era of the 80s as a garden flower. But now the existence of this plant is increasingly being exposed and only some people really want to take care of it.

Now I will continue the explanation of Homalomena. Homalomena is native to tropical to subtropical regions found in humid climates. This plant is widely found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Kalimantan, Java, Sumatra, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This plant is among more than 100 species of tropical plants in the aroid family of Araceae.

This plant can be combined in a Hydrangea plant to make it unique and interesting, when these two plants are combined, Homalomena looks like it has beautiful flowers when seen from afar.

Homalomena plants are widely loved because of their ease of care, resistance to disease, and tolerance to low light and stress conditions.

This Homalomena plant is usually often cared for indoors, because it is relatively easy to grow and requires little sunlight to produce beautiful leaf shapes and colors. If you want to add this ornamental plant to your home decor, you can choose Homalomena. This plant is a favorite of many homeowners and interior designers because of the many advantages it provides.

dangers and benefits for health

Hydrangea plants besides having beautiful flowers, this plant also has health benefits, while my Homalomena plant has not received any health information. So I will only discuss a few benefits of the Hydrangea plant, which according to my knowledge is below:

  • Hydrangea Leaf

Hydrangea plant leaves are considered toxic because they contain cyanogenic glycoside compounds and will release hydrogen cyanide compounds when ingested.

  • Hydrangea Root

Hydrangea root can be used in traditional medicine to function as an antioxidant and treat kidney-related diseases.
Hydrangea root is known to cure diseases that attack the central nervous system, rapid skin turnover (psoriasis), kidney stones, diabetes, and arthritis. In addition to medicine, this plant can be used as aromatherapy.
