From more than 3 months of my struggle in caring for rice, I am finally approaching the harvest period. which I faced a lot of various pests that attacked my rice and thank God my struggle was satisfying. This is my last-second process in maintaining rice.

Agriculture in our area of ​​Pidie Jaya (Aceh, Indonesia) is an agriculture that grows food crops, where rice is the main food crop. In daily life, the need for rice continues to increase because rice is the staple food for the community.

To balance the need for food with the amount of rice productivity, it is necessary to pay attention to the way of planting, disturbing pests and diseases, land conditions and so on. No less important is the handling of the harvest.

So a few days ago I visited the rice fields in the fields, here I saw my rice was approaching its harvest period, and my heart was very happy, in our area Pidie Jaya (Aceh, Indonesia) harvests rice 3 times a year. So the rice cropping system 3 times a year is one of the breakthroughs of the Ministry of Agriculture in increasing rice production in our area. Meanwhile, 20 years ago, the rice cultivation system was only once a year. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture helps the community a lot in increasing rice production by creating superior rice seeds for farmers so that the people prosper and can increase national food security and the added value obtained by farmers.

Harvesting is picking the results of rice plants in the fields or in the fields according to the criteria for the level of maturity. The purpose of harvesting rice is to get the grain from the field at the optimal maturity level, preventing damage and loss of yield to a minimum. Harvesting rice will not be profitable and satisfying if the process is carried out in an incorrect way and at the wrong harvest age. Poor harvesting methods will reduce yield losses quantitatively. Meanwhile, the right harvest time will determine the quality of grain and rice. Harvesting must be done when the rice grains are considered ripe enough. Improper harvesting can reduce the quality of grain and rice.

I have been trying to take care of rice plants but there are also pests that could interfere with or eat some of the rice plants, this is one of the challenges for me in agriculture so that pests do not attack all of my rice plants. My efforts have yielded good results.
