The UK’s First Ever Muslim LGBT+ Pride Festival 🏳️🌈
LGBT+ Muslim group Imaan has set the date for the UK’s first ever Muslim Pride festival. The event will take place in London on Saturday, April 11, the group announced on social media. Imaan announced: “It’s happening! We’ve set the date for the first EVER Muslim Pride event. Tickets go on sale in two weeks!” The event will take place in London at an as-yet-unannounced venue. People from across the LGBT+ community gave money to make the event happen, with a crowdfunding campaign raising £10,000 to help fund it.

I always have mixed feelings about this kind of parade or event that is meant to promote tolerance and acceptance, as well as close religious or ideological gaps.
I agree with your emphatic oposition: homosexuality or any other "deviation" from "natural laws" is incompatible with any mainstream (judeo-christan) religion known to us so far. It is a silly mistake, sometimes, cynical, actually, to asume that you can be different and still be accepted by your congregation. It's not gonna happen, if the congregation follows their sacred book to the letter. It's that simple. If people want to be proud of whatever they are, just forget about religion, or create your own.
This new religion if they so much want divine acceptance or approval, would include no-so-powerful genderless deity(ies?), who, because of their(?) imperfections happens to be very tolerant and would never dictate in any sacred text that deviants should experience hell on earth and then go to hell once they are lynched by self-righteous believers.
I think that people should have a clearer vision of what is it that they want to be an accomplish and in what context that is viable.
Everyone is free to define themselves. But I do not approve of these activities. It is not normal for these people to parade and impose their own orientation on the others. Is there a parade of "normal"?
what i am really interested to know is that, hope the event won't look like a kind of campaign that will intrude the privacy and orientation of others??if it won't then i guess they can go on with their parade though i am not in support of it,but if it is not going to hurt others then i will not totally oppose it since that is what makes them happy...
Wow, that is a great combination. I think that lgbt-muslims people also deserve to be there and wear bi pride pin as well as others, as given the situation in their countries, no wonder they go to pride in other countries as they simply need a place where they can be undertood without being haunted by authorities. So i think this news overall is very positive
