Greetings to all the steemit chefs, another week is here once again for me to take part in this lovely contest organized by this noble community on the theme "Mother's Delicacies". As a chef, we must have learned how to cook from our parents and as for me, the special mother which I will talk about is my sweet mothers.

Her name is Misses Helen Yakubu, she is a medical doctor also a good wife, a sweet mother, and my best chef. She can cook all kind of meal and she has never gone to any culinary school for training but her cooking skills is one of the things that makes me learn how to cook a sumptuous meal.

My mother is my world, she is a strong woman who always stands by her children just to make sure they have a good life. She is my hero and I can't love her less.

When I was a child she usually ask me to seat close to her while she is cooking and I must say that I have learned different types of meals from her.

The reason why I select my mother is because she is the best and she has always been the best mother in the world, her love for cooking different dishes is unconditional and she never failed to do her duties both as a wife and medical doctor. Also, she always guides me through how to cook delicious meals. I have eaten flood outside but believe she I say my mum's meal is the best and she is a good teacher.

My mother is very good at cooking all kinds of dishes and also she has very good technique and experience of diet balancing meals, one of the meals my mother is so good at cooking is vegetable soup. She always tells me that the way to a man's heart is by cooking a very good meal for him after a long day at work😁

In Gembu Taraba State of Nigeria where I come from, we have a special vegetable soup called MIYAN KUMBI(ekribery) which is widely recommended as one of the best vegetable recipes, it will interest you to know that my mother is very good when it comes to preparing the KUMBI VEGETABLE. She thought me how to cook many of the recipes I know especially the vegetables, she is so good at what she those and I must say she is the best when it comes to cooking different types of meals both local and continental dishes.

When I was a child, my mum usually advised me when I'm in the kitchen to help her with chores and also learn how to cook. She will always say. Before cooking make sure that everywhere is clean before you begin your cooking process.

Secondly, always wash all your fresh ingredients especially vegetables before cutting them.

A good chef must test her meal to find out if all the ingredients are ok.

Always make sure that all the plates and the pot are well arranged after cooking.

Lastly, always cover your head while cooking.

While my mum use to prepare different types of food for me when I was a child and tell date she use to cook for me whenever am home, it's been a while since I Ate my m food due to the distance between us but most of the food I know how to cook today, I learned it from my mum. Below are some of the meals which I prepared using my Mum recipes. All her meals are yummy and delicious.

My mum's favorite meal is fufu and kombi soup, and she like eating it during lunch also she loves taking chocolate cakes. But the one she likes the most is the vegetable soups. According to her, she said vegetables are a very good source of vitamins for the body as such vegetable soup is her favorite.

In conclusion, handling the kitchen is not an easy task for those who don't love cooking but if that passion is there then you will t, things easy. In my case, I was so lucky to have a lovely mother who showed me ways to the kitchen and I will forever be grateful to her.
