How to prepare a simple Eru soup .

Hello @everyone on this Steemit platform and to all the lovers chefs here .Accept special greetings from my home country Cameroon .Today is another awesome in my kitchen to share with one of the delicious meal Eru consume in Cameroon . Mostly by all the regions and is highly recommended as one of the most delicious and dish in Cameroon.

Eru is one of the delicacy that is mostly found in classic restaurants and lounge but people do prepare at home .This Eru soup is eaten with cooked Garri, waterfufu and boiled cassava. I most say it’s one of my favorite meal I eat and mostly prepared by me for my family at home .I find no pleasure eating inthe restaurant food prepare by another person than myself.

In the below section I will be sharing ingridents needed to for Eru and steps involved in preparing Eru .I hope you find pleasure reading through my post 👇🏼.

Ingredients needed to prepare Eru

The following are the ingridents needed to prepare a simple delicious Eru .It will always depend on the quantity of Eru one need to prepare .My ingridents Will given based on the quantity of Eru I prepared.

  • Waterleave
  • Meats, Kanda and smooked fish
  • Cryfish
  • 2 cups of Maggi cravet
  • Palm oil
  • Salt

Steps involved in preparing Eru

Step1

Sliced your waterleave to a desirable size that you want .Make sure strong stems should not be added when slicing your water leave

Step2

Take your Eru and select strong stems from it or dirts .Mark sure it’s very clean to washed and cooked without a problem.

Step3

Washed your slice meat and Kanda and boil together .Not forgetting to add a pinch of salt and a cube Maggi while boiling . If it’s a good meat it will take 45 minutes for the Kanda and the meat to be ready

Step4

When your meat and Kanda is ready add your sliced waterleaf inside.Make sure your meat is not having much water.In 7minutes time add your washed Sliced Eru Leaves.

Add in your your crayfish , Maggi and palm oil and smoked fish allowed it to cook for sometime .For the palm oil to get ready well .Stir it for 2 minutes with wooden spoon.Allow it it for 5minutes to cook well .Here my simple Eru soup is ready .

It should be noted that Inorder to enjoy Eru soup and to have easy digestion . I prepare cooked Garri or waterfufu to be eaten.These to things mentioned are good combination to be eaten with Eru .Here is the final dish Eru and Garri served .
