The Daily Food Shopping Game| 15-02-2025|(Week No.56)|

A warm greetings to you all in this wonderful community. I'm here for this exciting contest about food shopping brought about by @mvchacin.

Describe that place where you went shopping.

This place I went shopping is called Anua market. It's located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. This market is actually a small market where people come to sell food items and other items but mostly food items. This market is sort of close to my house although it take like 10min to get to the market if you find keke to transport you on time.

Why is it your favourite?

It's per say my go to market because here you can find alot of if not all the items you need for your food. They have items like assorted leaves (afang, scent leaf, atama, editan, water leaf, vegetable,etc), meat (cow, goat, chicken), pepper, onions, beans, rice, fruits (mango, cucumber, coconut, pawpaw,etc), oil(palm oil, groundnut oil,etc), tomatoes and other food items.

How often you usually shop.

I actually shop here weekly because in a week. I simply just purchase what I would want for the week and store in the freezer. If I need something else, I just get by the little shops around.

Attention of the market sellers

The market sellers are attentive to customers so they can make their money. Once you approach a seller, they tell you what they are selling and ask how much worth of item you want. They actually help you find change for you.

They have this culture of calling you to tell you what they are selling and ask you if you'll buy. They tell you they'll sell well for you and they do sell well a bit for you. They are attentive set of sellers.

Prices of items just keeps increasing by the day but anyhow, we'll survive it. Since it's a market , there are no receipts given here, rather you pay with physical cash and get change if you have to get it.
