STEEMIT IRON CHEF 2021 ACT 1 ROUND 15 : Potato and tandoori chicken salad with yogurt and watercress foam!
Greetings of the day SIC Family!
Here I am for the last round of Act 1 of my most favorite cooking contest...Steemit Iron Chef!
I am just sad that I missed the banana round last time...otherwise I've entered all the rest of the rounds and here's the 14th entry from me!
For the 15th round, the product for us to work on is POTATO - A vegetable which is among the most used in the whole world!
Let me show you what I did with the product of the week! Happy reading!
Potato and tandoori chicken salad with yogurt and watercress foam
Ingredients that I used to do my dish...
Potato / Onion / Watercress / Chicken marinated with tandoori
Yogurt / Salt / Pepper / Mint / Olive Oil
I started by boiling a whole potato in salted water...
Once cooked, I cut the potato in small pieces that will go in my salad.
While I grilled the chicken breast...
And made some crispy potato chips too...
And with the watercress I made a puree which later on I emulsify to get a nice green foam by adding little lecithin powder.
Once all the different elements of my dish were ready...it was time to make the salad!
Simply cut the grilled chicken in small pieces and add with the potato, mint, onion and yogurt.
Check the seasoning and reserve.
Plating...
You know very well by now how much I love this part...the plating part!
Started by placing the salad first and added some chips around...
And here's how I added the different elements of my plate...freestyle as usual!
In the end...I put some watercress foam to finish off the plate and it was ready to serve!
And here's my plate with the proof sign as requested by the chef!
It has been such an amazing first act of Steemit Iron Chef and looking forward to the 2nd one coming up soon!
