STEEMIT IRON CHEF 2021 ACT 1 ROUND 14 : PEAS TRILOGY AND PRAWNS CARPACCIO!!!

Hello Iron Chefs family!

It is with so much pleasure that each week we get that ONLY occasion to post in here and make everyone drool on our food creations!!!

Each round I've seen so many amazing entries, worthy to be featured at high class restaurants! And it is also amazing how the Steemit Iron Chef Community is building such a name for itself...nowadays nearly everyone knows about Steemit Iron Chef!!!

The 14th Round is nearly over and we will be left with only the 15th one to complete that first act! I am already trying to guest how ACT 2 will be!? Will it be the same??? Or maybe some surprises reserved for us???

No Idea for now!

Let's forget that for now and concentrate on my entry for round 14! I made an entree this time - a very light one!

PEAS TRILOGY AND PRAWNS CARCAPPIO

I made peas in 3 ways :

  • A light Peas Cream
  • Sautéed Peas
  • Crispy Peas skin

These are the only main ingredients that you will need :

Green Peas (I used frozen ones!), prawns, onion, garlic, some chives, lemon and the usual basic seasonings we have at home...salt, pepper, olive oil etc...

I started with the cream...I simply cooked the peas in a nice chicken broth aromatized with lemon grass!

Then they were blended with little cream and butter until a fine texture!

While the above was cooking, I peeled some of the peas...separated the skins and peas!

Then sautéed the skinless peas with olive oil, garlic, onion, chives, fresh lemon juice, salt and basil!

Then deep-fried the skins until crispy and seasoned them with little rock salt and any spices you want!

Next was the prawns carpaccio - I finely cut the prawns and put on a plate!

I seasoned with lemon juice, chives, olive oil and salt! I let the prawns cook a little bit in that fresh dressing for 5 minutes!

With the help of lemon juice, the prawns will get an amazing texture!

Plating!!!

I started by placing the prawns carpaccio first on the plate!

Then as usual I went freestyle until I got the desired presentation!!!

Put the peas cream in the middle delicately...

Complete the plating with the fried peas skins and ENJOY!!!

If I had the possibility to have some peas sprout that would be much better...I would have put some on the plate!

This entrée is best enjoyed chilled with some crispy nuts bread on the side!

I am so happy to see that I am getting some nice followers and supporters - thank you everyone!

I wish I could be present more often on the platform...I'll work on this and try to post more often in other communities!
