STEEMIT IRON CHEF 2021 ACT 1 ROUND 01 : Stuffed Tomatoes with Starfruits & Apple Salsa 😋😋😋
Hello everyone!
While checking Steemit yesterday, I found an interesting cooking contest organized by @progressivechef.
And being a chef myself, I just couldn't resist to try my luck and send an entry into this first round of STEEMIT IRON CHEF.

Let me show you what I did with TOMATO for my entry!
Stuffed Tomatoes with Starfruits & Apple Salsa
List of Ingredients
- Tomato - Lettuces - Onion
- Starfruits - Green Apple - Cucumber
- Mint - Chives
- Salt - Pepper - Olive oil
Method of preparation
I started by cutting all the fruits and vegetables in small brunoise as you can see below.
Transfer them to a bowl, season with salt, pepper and olive oil.
You can add some chopped chili and strawberry vinegar if you wish to give the salsa a little punch!
Next I blanched the tomato, peeled it and scooped out the seeds as you can below...
Next step is to stuff the tomatoes with the salsa that we prepared above.
Knowing the standard that @progressivechef is aiming with this contest...I made quite a refined plating that I hope will be up to his standard!

To further enhance my plate, I deep fried the tomato peel until crispy and used in the plate!
