Creativity Time! #20| Freshly prepared pasta!
Hello lovelies!
It's been four months since I last updated us the latest food from Nina's kitchen. I have been tied up with so many activities but I thought it twice not to keep you waiting any longer.
Nina's kitchen is back and better!
This week I want to show you how to prepare fresh pasta right inside your kitchen. I know you are already know what pasta is and the different shapes and styles we have.
A pasta is a starchy dish produced with flour. Although I didn't know I could prepare fresh pasta by myself until I attended the gastronomy class. Just with 3 items, you can have your fresh pasta ready.
Most time, it is good to give some new dishes atrial to enable you explore and know new things. I enjoy it a lot so I suggest you also do the same.
Ingredients for fresh pasta
• Flour
• An Egg
• Salt
Process in steps
Step 1
On a clean surface, pour an amount of flour sizeable for use, add a pinch of salt. Make a little hole at the center of the flour and break in an egg. |
---|
Step 2
Fold the egg into the flour by mixing them together to form a dough |
---|
Step 3
continue folding until you achieve a smooth dough |
---|
Step 4
After folding, allow to rest by putting it in a paper bag/ nylon to cool off. Preferably, let it rest in a cool place. |
---|
Step 5
Now, the dough has rested, it can be worked on. Divide the dough into two to start working. |
---|
Step 6
Use a rolling pin to roll out the size you want to cut out your design |
---|
We have different pasta designs, it all depends on what choice you make or you an decide to be creative. Create your design just like mine.
Step 7
This is my design and it's called Rolleta. I used my creative to design something different from the normal pasta we know. |
---|
From the dough I rolled out, I used a knife to cut out a slice. I used my hands to rub it together to get it in a thick and long form. Then I place it in a tray to roll it round each other to achieve my design. I continued this process until the dough is exhausted.
Step 8
Add an amount of water in a pot and set on fire to boil. Gently add the prepared pasta one after another into the pot, cover the pot to cook for 20 minutes.
Step 9
You can check the pasta and be sure it's done. Serve with stew or sauce then any protein of your choice can go.
Hmm, so yummy right!
I would love to know what you think about this dish under the comment section. This meals has got a lot of health benefits for you and I'm sure you can't afford to miss it.
Don't forget, this is my weekly routine to give you some food updates for your kitchen. It will be good to try out something different and new in your kitchen every week.
I would love to see someone try out what I've just done here and it would be an open ground to win a prize. I'll see you in my next entry.

Hi @ninapenda,
You have done a great job making pasta from scratch. I'm sure it tastes much better than the regular pasta we buy from the store. Keep sharing more recipes.
Have a great day!
Thank you so much ma'am

Greetings
Hi friend, I have no justifiably reason to doubt what you said. But so you know, I have some users who enjoy Nina's kitchen and I thought it was nice to share it in my kitchen to also let other know.
If you read the post, I mentioned that I learned this recipe in a gastronomy class I attended. Maybe subsequently, I will post new dishes. Thank you for your response!
