"Recipe of the Day, Week No. 42: (Semolina Halwa / Barfi Recipe)"

Today I am participating in the contest Recipe of the Day organized by @dasudi mam in the Steemit Iron Chef Community. Week No. 42 This week I have brought my recipe. Today I will share the recipe for Semolina Halwa / Barfi. Many things can be cooked with Semolina. Halwa of different flavors can be made. Who does not like to eat Halwa? And if it is Semolina Halwa, then it is beyond words. Semolina Halwa can be cooked in different ways. Liquid Halwa is also very fun to eat, and semolina Halwa in the form of Barfi is also very delicious. I make this wonderful Sujir Halwa / Barfi on the days of Shab e Barat, Shab e Qadr, and Eid. Semolina halwa can be eaten as a morning and afternoon snack and is also very tasty with bread. My whole family loves to eat this Halwa/Barfi.
Ingredients required for semolina Halwa/Barfi recipe:

Step 1:
Put a pan on the stove and add 2 tablespoons of ghee. Add 3-4 cardamoms to the ghee. When the ghee is just beginning to warm up, pour in two cups of semolina.
Step 2:
Stir the Sujir and mix it well with the ghee. Then, keep the stove on low heat and stir the Semolina for some time. Fry until the semolina becomes fluffy.
Step 3:
Once the Sujir is fried, add 3 cups of warm milk that you have previously heated to cook the semolina. After that, whisk the milk and semolina until well combined.
Step 4:
After the semolina boiled, I added 1 cup of sugar and a pinch of salt. Stir again and mix it with the sugar.
Step 5:
When the sugar melted and mixed well with the semolina, I added some raisins to the semolina.I combined the raisins and semolina.
Step 6:
After adding sugar to the semolina halwa, the sugar will melt and the water will come out. At this stage, I will keep the stove on low heat and stir the semolina halwa continuously. When the water in the semolina dries up, I add a tablespoon of ghee again. Adding ghee at the end of cooking gives a nice aroma to the food. Today I will make semolina barfi, so after adding ghee, I cook it again for some time and after the semolina halwa becomes a little hard, I turn off the stove.
Step 7:
After brushing ghee on a tray, pour the semolina halwa into the tray to set. It is very beautiful when set while hot. After setting it very nicely with a spoon, I spread some chopped almonds as desired.
Step 8:
When the semolina halwa cools down, I cut it into the shape of a barfi as desired.

My mother says that adding a little salt to sweet dishes balances the sweetness in the food. So I always add a little salt while making sweet dishes.
