Recipe of the Day, Week No. 49: Yummy Fisher man soup 🍲
Greetings dear friend and how is your weekend going? I believe it works out as planned. I had a smooth day and I want to use this opportunity to participate in this recipe of the day of the week.
I want to use this opportunity to thank @mvchacin for giving me invitation to join this contest and other members of this unique community who walks tirelessly to maintaining it.
In this contest, I want to prepare a simple Fisher man soup. This soups is known to be highly nutritious because of it richness in protein. In cooking this soup, individual determines what type of sea fish to use. I'm a nursing mother, I want to use cat fish because it contains protein and omega-3 fatty acids which helps in breast milk production as well as brain and eyes development.
This soup is very simple and doesn't require much ingredients and steps. It can be prepared in just an hour.
Ingredients
- Catfish
- Okro
- Snail
- Stockfish
- Crayfish
- Periwinkle
- Pepper
- Onion
- Palm oil
- Azusa leaf.
- Seasoning cubes to taste
- Salt to taste
Preparation process
I started my cooking with steaming of the fish, snails, periwinkle and oyster with Seasoning cubes, pepper, onions and salt to make it tasty.
My second step was putting empty pot on a cooker of low heat and allowed it dry. I added my desirable quantity of palm oil to the pot and
I added slice onion then I allow it to fry for few seconds.
I put my chopped okro to the oil and stir it consistently which helps the okro to perform.
It was then time to put crayfish which I did and after which my catfish, oysters, snails, removable periwinkle that was well fried and stirred gentle.
I added a little quantity of water to the pot which will help the soup not to be sticky.
I final it by putting seasoning cubes and Azusa leave.I allowed the pot on a cooking process for some minutes which helped everything to be done properly🫕.
My fisher man soup is ready. Is time to gather to enjoy our self.
Fisher man soup is a very delicious meal because it comes with lots of proteinous ingredients. Different people has different ways of preparation and consumption. Some use swallows like fufu, garri, pounded yam, semo and wheat while others people eat it with white rice or boiled yam. I used mine with white garri well prepared🍚.
