My Star Dish | Tender Pork With Sausage Baked To Perfection In The Oven
Hello Steemians! :) Today it is with great pleasure that I want to introduce you to one of my favorite dishes. As you know, I am a big lover and admirer of meat. I learned to cook this dish from my grandmother who was a master chef. She taught me the art of cooking when I was a child, passing her recipes and techniques down the generations. This particular recipe for pork chops with sausage is a family favorite that we often make during holidays and special occasions. I like this dish because of its rich taste and aroma due to the combination of spices and herbs. The steaks become incredibly tender and juicy after grilling, while the sausage adds an extra layer of flavor and texture. Here are the products you need:
4-5 pork neck steaks
3-4 sausages (optional)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon rosemary, dried and ground
1 teaspoon thyme, dried and ground
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup chicken broth or white wine
Preheat your oven to 200°C. In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, and salt. Mix well to combine completely. Place the pork chops and sausages on a baking sheet. Spread the spice mixture liberally over the steaks and sausages, making sure they are evenly coated. Pour the chicken stock or white wine into the pan, making sure the meat is halfway submerged. You can cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil (to steam the dish). Place the tray in the oven and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. After the cooking time is up, carefully remove the foil from the pan. Return the pan back to the oven for another 15 minutes to allow the meat to brown slightly and take on the desired appearance.
Remove the pan from the oven and let the meat rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This will help preserve the juices inside the steaks and sausage. Serve the tender pork chops with sausage topped with your choice of mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
